Great overnight stay right on the property of Vancouver International Airport. American Airlines and customs was just one floor beneath my room. It was less the 5min from my room to the American checkin counter via a short elevator ride. I no baggage there is an escalator down to the checkin counters. One plus is that there is a nice food court area available pre security so I did eat my evening meal at the food court.

The Fairmont is a great option to stay at, if you are flying in early for a cruise. We did not do any touring in Vancouver, as we got in late and embarked the next day. However, the value of staying here versus at the port can't be beat. We paid about $250.00 for a Friday night. The hotels at the port were at least double that. The rooms here are very nice, clean and QUIET. I was concerned we would hear a lot of plane noise, but that was not the case. Additionally, the restaurant food is VERY good! I ordered the hummus and pita bread and my husband got the cobb salad. The hummus was fresh and flavorful, the pita bread soft and warm. The cobb salad had fresh-sliced, herbed chicken on it, and I would highly recommend both. Another plus, it is very easy to get to the port from the airport via Skytrain. It cost us about $12 to get downtown, and only $4.63 to return to the airport. Keep your tickets until you are out of the station as you need them to get through the turnstiles. It is a pleasant ride and the train is clean (except for the guy cutting his fingernails on there - WHO does that?) It is a very short walk from the station to the port.

Stayed here when flying back to the uk !!! Again usual Fairmont high standard and excellent service !! My only gripe is I ordered room service and the guy stood there with his hand out for a tip ! So give him $10 on checking the check they charged me 18% service charge !!! So that cost me a fortune !! Be vigilant!! But will stay here again and highly recommend

We stayed here after a late night flight with plans to take a taxi to the cruise port the next morning. We were in one of the least expensive rooms but it was expansive for a hotel room. Very comfortable bed provided a great nights sleep. Nice bathroom with good water pressure. The breakfast at the restaurant the next morning was very good. This is a great hotel to stay at and very convenient to the airport

I travelled trough YVR twice in 3 days and on my trip out I had an important meeting. It was really important that I had a quiet and peaceful area to have my meeting. Juan made sure I was happy and looked after. Then upon my return my driver was delayed and so came back to the fairmont for a drink. I had not even sat down and Juan had prepared my drink and brought it over. Genuinely things like this make the world when you’re traveling and to humans. He’s a credit to the fairmont group and a wonderful man
