About the Hotel

Venice, comprising 118 small islands, winding canals and arched bridges, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an architectural masterpiece. Suffused with beauty, the meandering streets and waterways reveal priceless art, architecture and artisanal crafts at every turn, whether in a church, museum, or during an event on the city’s cultural calendar – including the art biennale and Carnevale. As sumptuous and romantic as the city itself, Aman Venice – set in a 16th-century palazzo on the Grand Canal – is home to museum quality treasures including Tiepolo frescoes, gilded ceilings and centuries-old leather wall coverings.

A Royal Dream on the Grand Canal

A historic palazzo with frescoes and hushed salons; discreet service, romantic Grand Canal views, and a refined cocktail bar. An elegant oasis in the busy heart of Venice.

Spectacular Aman Property in Venice

We stayed here for 3 nights during our family trip to Venice and the hotel is exceptional. Quiet and peaceful right outside hectic Venice. Located in a palace, highly recommend and make sure you ask for some extra coffee chocolate and raspberries in the morning.

Not for the wellness or spa minded

I have desperately wanted to love this place for so long and we were even planning to do our wedding here. I had a last-minute trip to Venice and decided that of course, out of any of the options in the city, Aman would have the best spa. Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, out of the 58 luxury hotels I’ve stayed at in the last few years. This was the single worst spa massage experience I’ve ever had. Not only did the therapist finish almost 30 minutes earlier than what I pre-paid for , but he also had cuts on his hand that he showed me and insisted on wearing plastic gloves during the treatment. I suppose it depends on where you fall in terms of healthcare and micro plastics, but rubbing oil and latex rubber gloves all over your body for 90 minutes is not only disgusting, but also toxic. I think the most surprising part of this entire experience was when I brought it up with the spa manager Elisa Sartoret, she told me I was “ lucky to have never experienced a Massage with rubber gloves before” because that is quite normal thing to do when she does it regularly as well. Perhaps this is a Venetian thing, I’m not so sure… but either way at a minimum I would’ve liked to have prior notice before pre-paying for a massage that I was gonna have micro plastics seeping through my pores for 90 minutes. Perhaps even more disturbing is when I expressed my dismay about this she shrugged off the experience and didn’t seem to care very much. Now that is not something I expect from Aman. The restaurant staff for dinner are phenomenal and some other people are exceptional so I don’t want to write off the hotel altogether. But the caliber of guests that I am used to hosting would never be OK with the things that went on yesterday. Such a shame because this is the one property that I desperately wanted to like. If you do plan on coming here, just make sure you have zero expectations so that at least you’ll enjoy your time

What a bar for an aperitivo!!

Just magical! The cocktails are brilliant, piano playing was fabulous, but best of all are the staff. Susanna looked after us with snacks, advice on cocktails and perfect professional expertise. We caught up with Liciano the General Manager, who was wonderful in his ability to interact with both his staff and his customers. We will be back
