The Gritti Palace

We stayed here after much research and recommend recommendations from fellow traveler and friends. Needless to say, we were not disappointed. The history of this building and its previous guest, especially Ernest Hemmingway is surreal. Attention to detail and the service was exactly what you would expect from a hotel of this stature. In addition, the location is second to none along with the superb restaurant and bar. I highly recommend the seven course set meal at the doge restaurant There’s a reason this is the highest rated hotel on TripAdvisor

We had the best time; beautiful accommodation, delicious food and amazing service, thank you. The location is perfect to enjoy all the splendour of Venice; such fun in the water taxis, amazing walks in the local streets & across the bridges. Be sure to stop in one of the local Bacaro’s for lunch.

Historic Luxury in the Suites I loved my suite; the décor was beautifully nostalgic, capturing the charm of Venice’s golden age with an incredible attention to detail. Waking up to an iconic view of the Grand Canal directly from the room is an experience that justifies the property's reputation. A Concierge That Aces the Stress Test The true highlight of my stay was the concierge service. My arrival was a logistical nightmare due to ITA Airways delaying my flight five separate times. However, the Gritti team managed the situation perfectly. They arranged a private chauffeur who was waiting for me the moment I deplaned, and they seamlessly rearranged all my dining reservations. They took a high-stress travel situation and made it completely frictionless, ensuring I was comfortable from the moment I arrived. Dining and Breakfast While the food at the various bars and restaurants can be a bit hit-or-miss in terms of consistency, the breakfast is absolutely stunning and top-notch. Dining at Club del Doge provides one of the most spectacular views of the Grand Canal you can find in the city, making even a "standard" meal feel like a special occasion. Verdict Among the many five-star properties I have stayed at globally, the Gritti Palace stands out for its "hardware" and its exceptional service recovery. It has officially become my go-to for Venice.

Elegant and exquisite with original designs beautiful staff. Amazing dining experience. We will stay here again. Had dinner and drinks at the lounge our waiter Paulo he was always attentive to us. I made us feel at home. We said ALOHA!
