We had a really lovely stay at the St. Regis in Venice. The hotel is tucked away just enough to feel calm and peaceful, yet you’re only a few minutes’ walk from all the hustle and bustle. It strikes a perfect balance between quiet luxury and easy access to everything. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was warm, efficient, and genuinely appreciated. The hotel itself is beautifully laid out, with three bars, a charming outdoor area, and a small restaurant that feels intimate without being cramped. Breakfast was a real highlight — a relaxed, elegant affair with amazing service that set the tone for the day. Our room was very nice and a decent size for Venice. The only downside was that it faced inward and looked out onto a roof, which wasn’t the most pleasant view. That said, the staff throughout the hotel were exceptional and really made the stay feel special. The only reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is the concierge experience. We asked for a recommendation for a simple, local restaurant where we could enjoy great pizza or pasta. Unfortunately, the suggestion felt a bit half‑hearted. The place we were sent to had bland food, a coverage charge per person, dried bread, and very average service. It didn’t feel like the concierge had done much background checking — more like they had a connection and pointed us there without much thought. Aside from that, everything else was wonderful. The hotel is stunning, the service is top‑tier, and we’d happily return — though next time we’ll choose our own dinner spot.

We had the good fortune to be able to spend a couple of nights at the St. Regis in Venice in early December 2025. It was impeccable! From the moment we walked in to the moment we departed, the service was exceptional. Every member of staff we encountered were welcoming and attentive. Special mention for Sara who checked us in at what is called the 'Front Desk' but is set up more like a quiet home office, with comfortable chairs for guests and a deep pile carpet. Also for Barbara whose title is 'Butler' but who takes time to find out your interests and then points you in the direction of fascinating, off-the-beaten-path places and events in the City. And for the wonderfully engaging concierge assistant, Simone, who is a local Venetian with excellent knowledge of restaurants and excursions: he could not have been more helpful and provided us with great personalised advice. Breakfast was a joy, overlooking the southern end of the Grand Canal. The chef's poached egg on avocado bruschetta was a delicious work of art! And don't miss the slicing open of bottles of champagne with a sword, at 5pm in the large reception room. Memorable!

We stayed at this hotel once many years ago when it was a Westin. As a result, we did not have very high expectations, but wow, we were impressed. We arrived at the hotel pretty late (about 7-8 PM) and the moment we entered the lobby, we were immediately greeted by name. Granted, the lobby was empty at the time, but that was still very impressive to keep such a good track of incoming guests. We are Marriott Titanium members and received an upgrade to a wonderful 2-room suite. Everything in our room felt premium, aesthetically pleasing and well thought out, with little designer touches everywhere. Breakfast was excellent and how do you beat that view of Grand Canal? Furthermore, St Regis’s location is the best. Even though its entrance is tucked inside a small alley and very difficult to find for first time guests, the hotel is literally only a few steps away from all the high end shopping and San Marco Square. We stayed at the Gritti Palace during our last visit, but St Regis is fast becoming our favorite in Venice.

I stayed at the St Regis in mid-November with my family. The hotel was well-maintained and just a short walk from the center. The rooms were clean and had a beautiful view. At the bar, we were looked after by Elia, who made us have a wonderful experience and helped make this holiday special.

The St. Regis on the Grand Canal is a lovely property. We arrived by water taxi directly to the hotel’s private dock. The check in process was smooth and easy. The hotel is well located to St. Mark’s Square. Our deluxe room with a king bed was decent sized but not large. It was supposed to be about 325 square feet but it didn’t seem that big. The public rooms are beautiful and our room was nicely appointed and maintained. There weren’t a lot of drawers in the room for unpacking but there was a good sized closet to make up for it. The room had a round table and chair, no desk, and a small sofa at the end of the bed with night stands. There weren’t any easily accessible plugs next to the bed. The linens and towels were wonderfully soft and luxurious. The bathroom had a good sized shower with good water pressure, two sinks, counter space and a bidet. Breakfast was very good and there is an outside deck on the Grand Canal to watch the boats go by as you enjoy your breakfast. The buffet had delicious fruits and vegetables as well as many other items and the menu offered many good choices. I would highly recommend this hotel.
