My wife and I recently enjoyed a 2-nite stay at the lovely Amauris Vienna Hotel and we want to recommend it in all ways in the HIGHEST way possible! It was truly a wonderful experience...the staff....the spaces...the food and the drink were all 5-Star in our opinion. We are well seasoned travelers and The Amauris was as wonderful a hotel as we have ever stayed in! It really was:) Starting with the hotel's wonderful location in Vienna...right on the Old Town Ring road...it is perfectly positioned for easy walking access to all of the most interesting sites in the city. A main trolley & U-Line station is just a 1/2 block down so even you one does not want to walk, public transportation is super easy. We were in Vienna for the main purpose of checking out the various Christmas Markets so the hotel was all decked out in wonderful Christmas decorations. They even had their outdoor cafe areas...along the front of the hotel... open for enjoying food and drinks...with inferred heaters and warm snuggle blankets. We were able to enjoy a nice scotch and a cigar one evening after coming back from dinner. It was fabulous! At check-in, we could not have been greeted more warmly by Claudine. She was engaging and professional and welcomed us to the hotel and Vienna in the nicest way. As we had just arrived from the US at 8am, we got to the hotel around 10:30am and she had a room ready for us already! That's a HUGE help for us over-night travelers as it allowed us to go right to our room and take a little nap before adventuring out into the city. She even took time to break out a city map and give us directions of where all the Christmas Markets (there were five!) were located around the city and how best to get to each one. Claudine helped us on several other things throughout our stay also! I need to compliment the hotel on the different spaces they have created for their guests. I am a custom home builder, so attention to the details is always high on my list of appreciation for the places I get to visit. The Amauris has done a wonderful job of maintaining the architectural details of the building while integrating some very upscale and modern interior designs. From the original open-gate elevator to the knob-less, marble slab room doors, to the automated coffee bar and the fully stainless steel pool with a glass atrium ceiling...every space is comfortable and classy without being decadent or showy. I loved the pool and spa facilities so much that I used them for a workout, a hot sauna, a steam sauna and a couple of laps in the pool over the course of the 2-1/2 days that we were there! And finally, the food and drink were totally on point! We enjoyed breakfast in the restaurant along with cocktails and a light dinner at the bar. All of the servers were very attentive and friendly and their service was outstanding. Although the bar is somewhat small, it is a "comfortable small" and it made for some good conversation with the bartender who mixed us some tasty drinks for sure! We did not get to experience the Live Jazz that they have every Thursday night but we are certain that it would be a fun time. In conclusion, The Amauris Vienna Hotel is wonderful in every way....location, staff, facilities, dining and drink! Stay here while visiting Vienna and you will not be disappointed. Cheers!

We stayed after Xmas, a family of three, and had a truly wonderful experience at the Amauris. The staff was super friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble, the room was great (except the bed was too firm for my bad back for me so they put a topper on) . The food in the Bistro was delightful and super delicious (we could not get in to their 7 course restaurant as it was always full-book ahead) and their breakfast was to die for, the most delicious (a la carte) - whatever you do not not miss breakfast. Peter was very helpful and informative. The location is excellent (but if you only want high end shopping then the Rosewood is maybe 10 minutes walk closer), close to the best museums, the Opera House, and other performances. We say in the best hotels in the world and this is up there with the best in Vienna. Cannot recommend it enough.

The Amauris is a beautiful hotel in the center of a beautiful city. We were close to the opera, shopping and a quick tram ride to the art galleries, churches, city library (must see) and Christmas markets. It was seriously the best vacation, best hotel and the best food. Highly recommended!

Outstanding in every sense - location, service, comfort, cleanliness, luxury. Smaller, more intimate boutique quality allows more personal and thoughtful attention by staff to all one’s needs and preferences. Easily accessible to public transportation and all cultural activities without the crushing crowd of travelers.
