Stunning classic hotel to stay in but a few hiccups. We stayed two nights the hotel is perfectly located. We have stayed in Vienna 6 times now this hotel could be great we arrived our bags were taken from us lovely professional quick greeting on check in. The room was incredible so beautiful the only negative was the pillows were something from a hostel may as well sleep on the mattress. We had the most wonderful dinner food was incredible my main course was not warm but they made up for this and a fab bottle of Austrian wine. Breakfast next morning was awful.. the service was horrendous we were pointed to our table which we sat and waited for nobody to come take an order I had to go find a waiter to order , we then again had to find a waitress to order a coffee. We ordered an omelette which was like rubber pre cooked with fillings just put inside. Second morning we didn’t have breakfast we ate elsewhere. The day we arrived we went to the spa my husband had an amazing massage I had a pedicure which was ok it took the guy 30mins to set up I don’t know why this was done before I arrived. I had to sit there and wait. In all it took 1.5 hrs for a very average treatment not worth it.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Grand Wien in Vienna. Everything was superb from start to finish. The location is excellent, very central and convenient, and the hotel is beautiful, comfortable, and welcoming. The staff are truly exceptional – without a doubt one of the best teams we have ever experienced. Everyone was kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. A very special thank you to Chief Concierge Mr. Walid Marouf. He is absolutely outstanding. His help and recommendations were incredibly helpful. He was always available whenever we needed him and made everything easy for us. He is truly a star ⭐️ We would also like to thank Mr. Yazan at reception. His warm smile, positive attitude, and willingness to always go the extra mile made us feel truly welcome and at home. The breakfast was excellent, with great quality and variety. The gym is lovely and well equipped. Everything was just perfect. The most wonderful team – we will definitely be back.

I'll be honest, this is the hotel I'd been giddily anticipating for our winter Euro-trip. The website and photos (and prices) make this hotel seem ultra-posh, and I worried that we'd feel terribly out of place rolling in with our hiking shoes and backpacks. Though this is one of the nicest (certainly most expensive) hotels I've ever experienced, I quickly learned that, for Vienna, this hotel is mid-range at best. My point is that the hotel felt far more accessible and within reach than I assumed it would. The staff are exceptional. At check-in, we were cheerfully asked about our specific interests and then directed to several relevant spots and recommendations with a map before being personally escorted to the elevator. A handwritten, personally addressed note welcomed us in the room (nice touch!). The bartender and Rosengarten staff were equally friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The lobby was festively decorated and the lobby pianist played seasonal favorites, which was a great way to welcome us to some of the local Weinachtmarkts. The room itself was immaculately clean. Gorgeous bathroom with two sinks, a huge vanity, and a beautiful shower. To say the mini-bar was well stocked would be an understatement: crisps, various local chocolates, gummy bears, and at least ten different drink options, including a medium bottle of wine and another of champagne. Our only discomfort was that the room was VERY warm, even when we opened the exterior window and having kept the blower off. Everything else was quite comfortable, though. We were excited that it was completely dark and quiet in the room, and ended up accidentally sleeping until 11 our first night because it was just so peaceful and quiet. Pro tip: Hit the bar for dessert; it's open until midnight, but we found that it stays busy and full pretty constantly. New for me was a heisser schokolade with a shot of Mozart chocolate liqueur. That was a LEGIT hot chocolate with separate cream and an extra chocolate for mixing (see pic). As if that wasn't ridiculous enough, I also had the creme brulee egg because how could I not try something so gorgeous (see pic). Dessert places are plentiful in Vienna and sampling the sweet side of the city can get expensive, so we were pleasantly surprised that the prices in the hotel bar were quite reasonable.

The team at reception went above and beyond to ensure I had an affordable room with a city view and a walk in shower to accommodate recent knee surgery. Olga was a standout. She juggled guests and rooms not once but twice to find something that worked out for me.
