Originally the residence of the Prince of Württemberg, the Hotel Imperial showcases the romance of 19th-century Vienna. This member of The Starwood Luxury Collection is located on the magnificent Ring Boulevard, and its interior is a wonderland of hand-carved statues and spectacular crystal chandeliers. Expressing the elegance of yesteryear, bedrooms are cocooned in silk, and breathtaking Royal Suites exude an aristocratic flair. Furthering the indulgence is Imperial Restaurant, with its feasts for the senses, and Café Imperial, immersing you in the cityâ€(TM)s beloved coffeehouse tradition.

It was truly an exceptional experience. The hotel provided old world charm and there was no task hotel staff did not handle with smiles and efficiency. The rooms were ere spacious and spotless. The location was literally blocks from the downtown shopping experience and the restaurant was top notch. I hope to return soon.

I stayed at Hotel Imperial, Vienna with my wife and 3-year-old daughter for 4 nights. We got the Johann Strauss upgrade package for a junior suite, but it was confusing because we didn’t really get any upgrade—just told it’s already upgraded. There was also a bit of a smell near the bed in the room. Breakfast was good, but honestly not at the level I expected from a Luxury Collection hotel. I also wish the staff at reception and the bar were a bit more welcoming. For example, in the bar, my daughter was quietly playing and picked up something from another table, and a staff member just took it back without saying anything. Not a big deal, but little things like this happened a lot. Overall, it was a good experience, but I expected a bit more for the price and the brand.

Pretty disappointing. There’s clearly a lack of communication amongst the staff or just bad management, poor training. Staff were polite but disorganized. Restaurant was not a good experience. First attempt, food was overcooked. Second attempt was a disaster. Over 2 hours for main course. 50 mins from appetizer. Waitress behaved like she was doing us a favour. Bar attendant couldn’t make a cocktail. Said they only offered what was on the menu, that turned out to be incorrect. Car to airport was booked and confirmed 3 weeks prior but actually hadn’t been booked. Room was clean. Room staff were efficient and friendly. Doesn’t live up to its hype. I wouldn’t go back.

An extraordinarily beautiful hotel that retains its elegant feel while offering every modern amenity and comfort. Our fabulous suite had double height ceilings and gorgeous chandeliers with furnishing that made us want to stay forever. The hotel is ideally located in the center of the city and the opera house and Musikverein are around the corner. Once inside the hotel, though, all is quiet and our room facing the street was completely silent. (Amazing windows!) The staff were all gracious, kind and very helpful, which made the stay even more delightful. We appreciated the thoughtful amenities like the water and delicious tortes left at turndown service. Everything was done graciously and for just a few days, we were delighted to feel like royalty. An imperial hotel, indeed.

Excellent location. Old world charm. Room was a beautiful suite with little a/c. Had to keep windows open and busy loud street. Bathroom flooded every time one showered. Seems to be tired and in need of facelift for the money.
