Nice and Quiet
We had the upgraded room. 2 levels. Awesome bathroom and towels and Frette sheets. Very quiet. Young man behind front desk was awesome about 30 from Germany. Was so helpful on dinner reservations. He was the best. Very nice and friendly. Quality of the room was superb. Very clean. Now the not good: Doorman was there but not opening door for really anyone and the big doors were not used and had to go in side door and they just watched. Not good. Bar waiter in lunge smelled like a skunk and had an attitude, not sure what was going on there. The restaurant for breakfast was very pretty! Food was fair to poor. Eggs cold and runny and the spec (bacon) was cold and hardly cooked . Pastries were very bland and uninspired. Looked good but it was not. Thank God ours was free ( they kept giving me a bill and I would never pay that much for THAT breakfast. It was our 2 worst breakfasts on a 8 day tour of Austria. Service was stuffy and the waiters had attitudes (only stuffy service we had in Austria). All in all a great hotel to use with points. I would never pay 800+ a night there.

Do Not Miss Staying at Hotel Imperial!
Exceptional hotel in every respect particularly the entire staff. Best concierge desk we have ever experienced (ask for Felix). This is a historic icon hotel where the list of dignitaries and celebrities from around the world is lengthy. The property is in immaculate condition, very centrally located to all of the walkable must-things to see. Bar is stunning and the restaurant was wonderful with an awesome breakfast service. We can’t wait to go back and after 8 trips to Europe in the last 2.5 years, Vienna is our new all time favorite destination.

Exceptional in every way
It was truly an exceptional experience. The hotel provided old world charm and there was no task hotel staff did not handle with smiles and efficiency. The rooms were ere spacious and spotless. The location was literally blocks from the downtown shopping experience and the restaurant was top notch. I hope to return soon.

Nice Experience, But Some Details Could Be Better
I stayed at Hotel Imperial, Vienna with my wife and 3-year-old daughter for 4 nights. We got the Johann Strauss upgrade package for a junior suite, but it was confusing because we didn’t really get any upgrade—just told it’s already upgraded. There was also a bit of a smell near the bed in the room. Breakfast was good, but honestly not at the level I expected from a Luxury Collection hotel. I also wish the staff at reception and the bar were a bit more welcoming. For example, in the bar, my daughter was quietly playing and picked up something from another table, and a staff member just took it back without saying anything. Not a big deal, but little things like this happened a lot. Overall, it was a good experience, but I expected a bit more for the price and the brand.

Disappointed
Pretty disappointing. There’s clearly a lack of communication amongst the staff or just bad management, poor training. Staff were polite but disorganized. Restaurant was not a good experience. First attempt, food was overcooked. Second attempt was a disaster. Over 2 hours for main course. 50 mins from appetizer. Waitress behaved like she was doing us a favour. Bar attendant couldn’t make a cocktail. Said they only offered what was on the menu, that turned out to be incorrect. Car to airport was booked and confirmed 3 weeks prior but actually hadn’t been booked. Room was clean. Room staff were efficient and friendly. Doesn’t live up to its hype. I wouldn’t go back.
