Originally the residence of the Prince of Württemberg, the Hotel Imperial showcases the romance of 19th-century Vienna. This member of The Starwood Luxury Collection is located on the magnificent Ring Boulevard, and its interior is a wonderland of hand-carved statues and spectacular crystal chandeliers. Expressing the elegance of yesteryear, bedrooms are cocooned in silk, and breathtaking Royal Suites exude an aristocratic flair. Furthering the indulgence is Imperial Restaurant, with its feasts for the senses, and Café Imperial, immersing you in the cityâ€(TM)s beloved coffeehouse tradition.

This hotel was just as spectacular and elegant as in their photos. We were so grateful to be upgraded to the mezzanine level with two separate rooms. We loved the decor, the gilded moulding, the chandeliers, the furniture, the high ceilings and the beautiful curtains. However, what made us feel like royalty was the staff. No matter what we needed, someone came right away to assist us. Everyone was stellar. Each evening Inna came by to check on us and gently insisted on bringing us water, towels, etc. She apologized for the lack of vegan snacks, but none of that mattered because her kindness made our stay an absolute delight. We looked forward to her knock on the door. She not only adjusted the curtains for us but showed us how to do it. We never really used or wanted a turndown service before, but Inna made us appreciate such a luxury. We would happily return to this outstanding hotel.

From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional and check-in was effortless. Our room was perfect, with the most comfortable beds — I only wish I knew what kind of mattresses they were! The location couldn’t be better, right next to the Opera House and ideal for walking around Vienna. The dining service and management were outstanding — the food was excellent, but the service was even better. From check-in to check-out, everything was five-star. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else when visiting Vienna. Thank you to the entire team for an amazing stay.

One of the most beautiful hotels we have stayed in. So much character and charm. We got upgraded from a junior suite to the maisonette suite which was out of this world. This 2 level suite was just spectacular. The beds were one of the most comfortable beds we had ever slept on. We had treats left for us at turndown every night. Their signature torte on arrival was a lovely touch. The hotel is close to many attractions. The staff are willing to please and go out of their way. Housekeeping are fantastic. Definitely one of the finest hotels in Vienna.

From the moment you walk in the door you are struck with not only the beauty of this hotel, but the level of service you are about to receive. Not a detail is overlooked. The lobby bar needs to be worked into your plans as the live music (piano or harp depending on the night) and classic cocktails steal the show. Location of the hotel is spot on, too.

The hotel is undeniably beautiful, with elegant design and lovely rooms, but the experience didn’t live up to five-star standards. Our room had a curtain fitting hanging off the wall, leaving plaster on the carpet that was never cleaned — clear proof housekeeping wasn’t vacuuming properly. The bathroom air vent was dirty, and despite reporting it, nothing was done. Staff were friendly and engaging, especially the excellent doormen, but the restaurant was very disappointing. Both the food and service were poor, and the way the staff handled the situation was incredibly embarrassing. It was eventually resolved, but only after considerable effort. Room service for dinner was excellent in both food quality and presentation. Again the staff member who delivered was very engaging. A hotel that looks five-star, but the service, maintenance, and attention to detail sadly don’t match. Staff friendly and helpful. We probably wouldn't stay here again on our next visit to Vienna.
