Chose your room wisely - Not all are equal.
So I have stayed at many 5 star hotels in Vienna over the last years but this was my first stay at Sacher. I will cut to the chase....your experience will totally depend on the room you get and each one is pretty much unique. For reasons I dont want to elaborate on here I actually got to experience 2 rooms and 1 suite in a 3 day period. The ONLY way your will be truly WOWED will be if you get a suite (any kind of suite). Of course its all based on your expectations and what you are used to. I have been in quite a few luxury hotel all over the world so I am not very easy to impress. Your milage may vary. PS Be sure to try the Sacher breakfast, even if you are not staying there. THE BEST in Vienna.

The Sacher hotel is fabulous. The staff cannot do more for you. Food and service are second to none. Loved our stay here and the location cannot be beat. Highly recommended.

A Viennese institution & one of the best hotels in the world
This is a beautiful hotel. It is a well-oiled machine with the front desk staff perfectly co-ordinated with the bell desk and concierge. The lobby is a work of art, the breakfast sensational and the rooms are recently refurbished to a high standard. They graciously arranged a surprise birthday cake for my daughter, which was a lovely touch. I stayed there on my last visit to Vienna and if anything, it has gotten even better over time. I look forward to returning on my next trip to Vienna.

Pure Luxury
Truly one of the most luxurious hotel experiences I have ever enjoyed, beginning with the dessert tray and personalized note in the room upon check-in. The included breakfast is something out of a different era - absolutely spectacular with endless choices and staff that are eager to please. The junior suite was spacious and the bathroom was modern and well-appointed. Hotel is walkable to all major sites and easily accessible to the metro. It is definitely a splurge to stay here, but well worth the money.
