The Ritz-Carlton, Vienna

Just completed a five day stay with my wife. Wonderful service and ambience. Rooftop bar has great view and friendly staff. We were especially impressed with the concierge Rainer who went out of his way and helped us plan out our trip and especially obtain tickets to the opera, which should not be missed, and organize a day trip to Salzburg.

This is one of the best hotels my wife and I have ever stayed in! We love the Ritz Carltons (and other luxury hotels) and this is a gem. From the first bell man to the night manager at the front desk who was wonderful and upgraded us to a great suite (thanks Jasper!) to every other employee who treated us almost royally (a special shout out to Georgie at the wonderful breakfast), every need was quickly taken care of. We were greeted with roses, a bottle of fine champagne, balloons, free drink, and a card for my wife's birthday - who does that?! Then we were constantly lavished with gifts and other kindnesses. The suite was probably 700 feet and had a large bedroom with a very comfortable bed, huge and luxurious bathroom, a second bathroom next to the foyer, a living room, desk, and large area for drinks and a refrigerator, and was on the beautiful Schubert Ring, close to all of the amazing museums and other attractions. The pool and gym were excellent. I am so glad we had the privilege of staying here!

My husband and I stayed here with a group of friends. We had an absolute amazing experience. The club lounge staff was very attentive. The head chef even made us an amazing meal after finding out I was a vegetarian. The pool, while small, was adequate. The location of the hotel can’t be beat and transportation is easy and close by. The beds were comfortably soft and the hotel was beautiful.

I booked through the Marriott App, My reservation #: 73985725 Stay Date: May 12 – May 16, 2025 total for 4 Nights Thanks for upgrade my reservation from Deluxe Room to Junior Suite. The room was very comfortable, the hotel is located in a good location in the city center and the breakfast restaurant "dstrikt" food was delicious. There is also excellent service. I would especially like to thank "Jasper Veltmaat" and "Matthew" from the front desk and service team, They were very helpful in helping me solve the problems I encountered during my stay. Because of their excellent service, I think this is the best hotel in Vienna. Recommended for tourists visiting Vienna.

The room was nice design, had a balcony, and offered a nice view. However, when we looked out from the bathroom after the check-in, I saw an ashtray filled with cigarette butts and two lighters left on the balcony roof, which was very disappointing. Additionally, I think it's problematic to leave the ashtray on the roof instead of the balcony table. When I went out for dinner, I asked the staff to clean it up coz someone's cigarette butts were remainining, but the ashtray remained on the roof and the lighters were still left there. Moreover, when I opened the closet in the room, a large insect flew out, which I believe the cleaning staff should have checked beforehand. Overall, I felt the cleanliness level of this hotel was very low. I don't think the stay was worth the price, and I won't be using this hotel again.
