Since the moment we arrived at The Ritz-Carlton, Vienna, our trip has been nothing short of wonderful. We were warmly welcomed by the amazing staff at the Club Level—each of them so friendly and professional. Special thanks to Laura Rappold, Club Lounge Supervisor, and Paloma Settino, Club Lounge Ambassador, who were attentive, helpful, and incredibly kind. The Club itself is one of the finest we have experienced—not only because of its beautiful design and ambience, but also thanks to the thoughtful amenities and offerings. The food has been absolutely spectacular, to the point where it was impossible for us to even consider dining outside the hotel. To our surprise and delight, we had the pleasure of meeting Chef Andreas, Club Lounge Supervisor. He is exceptionally talented, highly professional, approachable, and generous with his time—sharing with us stories about his journey and experiences as a chef. His passion shines through in every dish he creates, each one truly remarkable. We also had the opportunity to visit the gym, and on our way there I met Nata Bozhko, a wonderfully kind receptionist. In nearly 30 years of visiting luxury hotels and spas, I’ve often found that staff, while polite, can sometimes feel distant. Nata was the complete opposite—warm, thoughtful, and genuinely attentive. She even assisted me with products and thoughtfully surprised me with a few gifts, making my experience all the more special. I am deeply grateful for her kindness. On our last day, after a workout, we returned to the Club Level for breakfast and, by chance, had the wonderful opportunity to meet Ned Capeleris, General Manager of the hotel. He is truly an outstanding leader—generous with his time, open in sharing his journey in the world of hospitality, and genuinely attentive to our words. He made us feel valued and welcome. It was a truly memorable encounter, one we’ve only experienced twice before in our lives: once at the Four Seasons in Florence, and now here in Vienna at The Ritz-Carlton. In my opinion, all General Managers should aspire to lead as he does. His character and leadership are clearly reflected in his team, who embody the same warmth and professionalism. To everyone at The Ritz-Carlton, Vienna—well done! You are a model of what true hospitality should be. We wish you continued success and an incredible journey ahead in this world of hospitality.

High expectations on this trip were met in spades by the team at the Ritz Carlton Vienna. As the city itself is so beautiful it’s actually one of those cities with a significant amount of luxury options to choose from. We chose the Ritz Carlton (I like Marriott and am an Ambassador) location was good and we didn’t have too much planned, so we thought to try the Club level. We were pleasantly surprised by what we got out of this RC. The Hard product itself was very nice, while the building is historic very old it is extremely well maintained with a somewhat modern touch in the common areas and the room (little things like automated blackouts and shades). Check-in was a breeze as we were met very kindly by the front office manager Jasper who accompanied us up to the club lounge, and eventually took us all the way to our room explaining about the hotel, the history and much about the city as well. The lounge itself was elegant. It had a living room like feel. Both the service and the food on the Club level were memorable. And even more than that, every single thing we had in the hotel from a food and beverage perspective was exceptional. Every day breakfast at the Club lounge was spectacular. They focused on quality over quantity, and you can notice it in everything from the homemade bread to the fresh squeezed orange juice. Each one of the simply prepared dishes was exception. If you go, make sure to try The Austrian pancakes. My only regret is that I discovered them more towards the end of our trip. So many people were nice and helpful, it would be difficult to recognize them all but: Laura and Paloma in the club made every day special and helped us with every single thing we needed, including reservations, Transportation and check out. Both very pleasant and very helpful. Andreas the chef made our morning twice as he explained to us the processes that they go through to make their food so fresh and unique for their guests. It was a real pleasure talking to him and seeing the pride he takes in his art. Finally, Ned the GM stopping by to check in and share some of his story was a very nice and memorable touch. From start to finish I’d say this team has it down. Hard product is solid, a quiet luxury with modern touches. The soft product is even better with the team who remembers your name. It makes you feel like you’re coming home to a special place every day. Next time we’re in Vienna, we know where we’ll be staying .

Worst experience I ever had in a Ritz Carlton. We went in the evening for a drink with friends to the roof top bar which is supposed to be open till 1:00 a.m. When entering the roof top bar the two guys there told us that there is a private party ongoing and the whole location is booked. There were some friends of the waiters occupying one table only and pretending to have reserved the whole roof top bar. When I said that no one told us at the reception that there is a private occasion upstairs, they told us to leave due to a private event which didn’t seem to be the case. As a platinum member I expected to be treated accordingly and with some politeness and decency. When I asked for the duty manager and that I would like to put a complaint, I was told by rhe roof top bar personnel that they do not care and I could complain tho whom I ever want. At the reception ( a guy called Santiago) when I asked for the duty manager I was told that he went home and there is no one to talk to ( at 11:30 p.m.). This is the most unprofessional and inappropriate behavior of staff I have ever experienced at a Ritz Carlton ever. What a pitty!

We enjoyed our stay at this Ritz-Carlton immensely. My daughter arrived ahead of me due to train issues for me. They staff welcomed her in with hospitality and allowed her to relax until I could get there to officially check in (the room was reserved by me as the primary). There was plenty of space for 2 people to relax. There was lovely natural light in the room. We were welcomed with a lovely bar of dark chocolate on marble. The room was kept stocked with drinking water which we made good use of with our walking exploration of Vienna. The bed was comfortable. For bathing there is a separate shower and tub. Turn down service was always prompt to refresh our water supply and leave chocolates. The staff could not be friendlier or more professional. It was a lovely 4 day stay and I would gladly stay there again. We also made use of the spa but I will leave that in a separate review.

Perfection! it is the Ritz after all. Stayed here actually two times during my trip to Europe. Superb service was received from anyone that crossed our paths, accommodating our needs such as switching to another room, city recommendations, very early morning car arrangements, all with the most authentic care that one can imagine. The room was beautiful, the rooftop, the various sitting areas in the hotel and the room service, my favorite being the breakfast. Special thanks to Jasper whose kindness and service made for a superb stay at the Ritz Vienna, twice.
