Wonderful hotel, staff & location!

Wonderful hotel, great staff, great location, comfy bedding & pillows. Wonderful lobby with intimate spaces to sit and enjoy a glass of wine. Lots of restaurants all around the hotel, especially great were Louise & L'Echaude only steps away from the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel!!!

Gorgeous location, comfy and enjoyable stay

My husband and I stayed here 3 nights & it was a comfortable and lovely stay. We are very low maintenance guests, to the point we just want a comfy and clean place but otherwise leave us be! That was zero issue 😊 The hotel smells amazing, it's in a gorgeous spot, the parking attendants during the day were always helpful and kind (they are there until 7pm, then the front desk has your keys so your car is always accessible), everyone we interacted with happily switched to english when we clearly didn't have the French skills to get beyond "Bonjour." The only comment I'd have for something to note is if you want to use the chromecast it operates on the same light switch as the LED lights behind the TV and above the coffee maker so if you plan to stream netflix prepare to have bright lights on....or bring a roku/fire stick!

Will try another place next time

Stayed here one night in winter (January 2024). Positives are the beds are very comfortable and linens of good quality. Location is great. Parking is easy. Check-in was fast and easy. Why I downgraded the review to 3 stars: 1. I had lukewarm water for my shower in the morning. My two colleagues who also stayed reported that their two showers had only cold water. 3 rooms with no hot water for the shower in the morning is unacceptable. 2. We came back from a late dinner around midnight and the front door to the hotel was locked, without the room key providing access. You had to call the front desk to let you in. Perhaps not a big deal during the summer, but in winter with the weather at -10 degrees even waiting one minute felt unacceptable. While I didn't have any issue with noise, my colleagues felt their rooms were a bit noisy.

Cozy, Classic, Classy

We spent four mild, snowless(!) nights, including Christmas, with family in Québec City and stayed at this hotel. What a good experience. Quiet, elegant rooms with comfortable beds and furniture. Excellent water pressure/temperature and bathroom lighting. Multiple well-placed outlets. Excellent (air) temperature and humidity control (in the entire hotel, actually, notwithstanding the cavernous ceilings). Cozy, classic, and classy lounge designed to let guests share public space while maintaining their respective private zones. Pet friendly. Basic but fresh/delicious breakfast (plus, the immediate vicinity is chock-full of great eating places). Very professional, courteous, attentive staff (all smiles and grace while working on Christmas). Located an easy walk from many of the iconic and quaint sites/sights of the city. We’ll definitely be looking to return to Hôtel Le Germain for future visits.

Loved our stay here. Great location easy walk to all the sites in the Christmas market and city center of the old town. Parking on site. Large rooms very clean. Great fireplace with couch and easy chairs. In front of it to relax at the end of the day. Staff bent over backwards to make our stay very enjoyable highly recommend this hotel, if you’re going to old Quebec
