The Kea Lani saved the beginning of our honeymoon

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 8 hours ago

**The Experience:** The Fairmont Kea Lani saved the start of our honeymoon. Initially, we were supposed to stay at the Westin Maui Resort & Spa Ka’anapali, but they messed up our reservation, refused to fix it, and treated us terribly. We then drove 50 minutes south to the Kea Lani, where hospitality truly shines. Every staff member was amazing. When they heard about our Westin ordeal, they upgraded our room for free and gave us complimentary drinks to celebrate our honeymoon. They ensured all our luggage reached our room. Their kindness made my wife emotional with happiness after the rough day we had. Regardless of the cost, we will stay at a Fairmont whenever we can. **The Property:** The hospitality alone was enough, but the Kea Lani property is exquisite. The lobby, rooms, pools, and beach are everything you imagine Hawaii to be. This was my wife’s first time in Hawaii, and it matched her dream perfectly. **The Cost:** The cost is high, which is why we booked another hotel originally. Don’t make the same mistake. The Fairmont is worth every penny. If you can save a bit longer to afford this experience, you will not regret it.

Spacious rooms but pricey

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

As a final tour location , this was the best and largest room I have stayed. 2 closets, large bathroom and bedroom space. It is pricey for everything. At least there is washer and dryer on each floor with water refill stations. Restaurants were nice. Great ambiance.

Fantastic Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

What a wonderful stay at the Fairmont Kea Lani! We stayed for 6 nights in a Signature Oceanview Suite, and it was magnificent. The room was newly renovated and modern in design. The bathroom was really large and had lots of amenities and extra touches. The lanai provided a great view of the sea, sunsets, and some color at sunrise. The housekeeping staff were amazing. The breakfast buffet was a highlight! There were lots of traditional offerings as well as caprese, upcountry greens, steak/onions, asparagus, poke, noodles, fried rice, etc. The service was great every day--.as an iced tea drinker, them providing a carafe at the table was so appreciated. We spent time at the adult pool and in chairs on the lawn. The chairs by the adult pool were a bit too close together for our liking-- we would have spent more time there if we had a bit more room. We also thought the chairs around the adult pool weren't as nice as the family pools, which was odd. The lawn chairs were basic lounge chairs and could use an upgrade as well. We were surprised and a bit disappointed that pool food/drink service didn't start until 11am. The lunch offerings around the pool were underwhelming but we found more options in the market so didn't have to go far. We walked the beach front trail every morning and loved that access! We spent a little time at the beach and it was nice. The water stations everywhere on people were amazing, always full and so appreciated! The courtesy car was amazing as we took it several times. We used valet parking and had amazing service. I mean, when you are already paying this much for a hotel, the $40 extra per night isn't worth fussing over and finding a space in self park seemed a bit difficult when we drove through the lot. We ate at the lobby bar/restaurant for a late afternoon snack, and it has a great view. We aren't sushi fans and wished the menu was a bit broader. Sushi-forward is one thing, but a hotel lobby bar shouldn't be pretty much exclusively sushi menu in order to appeal to the majority of people.

International hospitality with Aloha Spirit

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

My partner and I visited Maui for the very first time and we chose Fairmont as it was a familiar name from back home in Canada. The highlight of our stay was the morning breakfast at the hotel where we met Barry and Venus who really went above and beyond to enhance our stay and overall experience. They were both so attentive and really carried the Aloha spirit with an international hospitality. Mahalo Barry and Venus! We will definitely visit you again!

Fairmont Kea Lani

Gorgeous hotel, murals, cultural center, friendly staff, very clean. Our room felt brand new. We were upgraded to the signature suite upon arrival. The complimentary shuttle transportation was a great perk and the canoe experience off the beach was a highlight. Food and beverage was pricey but what you expect at a resort. Would have liked to have a concierge lounge like Fairmont Orchid! Loved the oceanfront trail/walk!

We stayed at the Fairmont Kea Lani Maui for and had a wonderful time. Most importantly, even above the great room, excellent service and delicious food, was that our seven-year-old son had the most fun. Many thanks for another wonderful vacation!
