A wonderful place to celebrate an anniversary & babymoon!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

My husband and I stayed at the Wailea Beach Resort for 10 days to celebrate both our anniversary and babymoon. The service was wonderful — we used the concierge several times and each time the person was incredibly helpful and nice. Our Ocean View room was lovely. Although the resort is not directly on the beach, there are 2 nearby beach options. We used the adult pools daily — love the infinity pool! We didn't realize there was an Enterprise on the premises, a pleasant surprise, and it was easy to be able to rent a car for a day to explore and return the car right back at the resort. Highly recommend staying here!

Bring bug spray

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Second time this year to this property. The first trip we were assigned a room on the second floor directly over the valet arrival area. That room was unacceptable and noisy and they graciously moved us. This second trip was not so good as far as there were roaches in the room and when reported they just told us “well it’s the tropics“ they said they could come spray but they could not move us. Check out process was a mess and the did not charge correct card on file Nice spot, but for the price many things were lacking. Many other Maui choices

Overpriced with spectacular views

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Stayed here for a week with husband and kids (9 & 13) in Hale 6 - 6214. The room had a great ocean view and was very spacious - king bed, double safa bed and a roll away with still enough space that we didn’t feel crammed in. Got an upgrade given husbands status with Marriott. The views are really amazing and the walking trail is busy at all times of the day and evening. Our room looked into the trail So had to keep curtains drawn. Hawaii is an expensive place and this hotel is no exception. Everything seemed overpriced from the kids meals by the pools to the drinks and breakfast at Whales Tale. We found the yoghurt parfait to be the most cost effective at $11 although a request for a little extra granola cost me an additional $8! Self Car parking is $39 and it was pretty close by. It’s not a beach front hotel - I love sitting by the ocean on the beach but it wasn’t fun here. If all loungers are taken you have to put your name down, wait for a text, go back to the counter to get a ticket, walk 10 mins to the beach, wait to be told which spot opened up, make sure you bring everything you need (towels, water, food) as if you forget something it’s a trek back to get anything. The lounges are packed on top of each other - I sat for 30 mins and decided I wasn’t having fun so left. Not a great experience. The family pools are good - there are two and one has the best view of the ocean and another island. The service is ok. Overall a hotel which benefits from amazing views where everything costs more than it should.

Beautiful, but not worth it the price because of the rooms.

The grounds of this hotel are great, but extremely busy in March. We had a great trip with the exception of our hotel room. We paid for an ocean view, which was not inexpensive. The beds in our room were the worst beds I have ever slept on. They were slanted, so your feet where higher than your head. It was the worst night sleep I have ever had!
