Wow! What a remarkable place to stay. We booked here to celebrate our One-Year Anniversary and we couldn’t have been more pleased. From the moment we arrived until we checked out, the staff at the Jefferson never disappointed. They tended to our every need and then some! When we arrived, we were immediately greeted at the door and welcomed inside. We arrived before our room was ready and they advised us that they would notify us by text when our room was available and that our luggage would be in our room when we returned. The room was beautiful and the bathroom was amazing! The turn down service was some of the best I’ve seen. Once we arrived back that evening, we noticed that chocolate covered strawberries (that we didn’t ask for) and a card from the hotel congratulating us for our Anniversary had been placed atop the mini bar. They really went above and beyond each day of our stay to make us feel welcomed in every way possible. As far as dining at the hotel goes, we didn’t get the opportunity to try The Greenhouse but we did visit Quill each night we were there. Andrew and Amber at Quill provided absolutely excellent service, great humor, pleasant conversation, and great recommendations on their menu items. Our stay was more enjoyable than we anticipated. Thank you to all the staff at Jefferson and Quill! We will be back!

This was our first stay at The Jefferson. My wife and I came to DC for the graduation ceremonies of our granddaughter. We chose The Jefferson from the internet. We were pleasantly surprised and impressed with the impeccable service we found at this elegant hotel. This is a well managed institution. We got what we paid for. Kudos to the whole staff and to the management.

This is a true five star experience. True professionalism without pretense. Elegance both understated and incandescently obvious… you are impressed immediately with this beautiful boutique hotel from the moment you enter. The staff is simply wonderful… the service impeccable, the food exquisite. This is without question my favorite “experience” when my wife and I re-visit. The suites are beautiful and well appointed. The Quill and its attendants are most pleasant… nothing like a nice cigar on the patio or a made to order cocktail while in the library… This place “never” disappoints! The chef is at the top of his game and each meal is a culinary masterpiece… but the atmosphere is at once overwhelmingly friendly and welcoming… no hint of pomposity. If you are in the nations capitol, you must visit this tribute to Jeffersonian/Monticello elegance! It’s historic, perfectly located in the District, just minutes from “everything”! From the national Mall to the Potomac River with fabulous dining and shopping venues. Trust me… do this for you and someone you love…. Dr. Sharnn Shepheard

Outstanding memorial day weekend at the jefferson. Hands down, this is the best hotel we have stayed at in the United States. In a different league from ritz carlton, st regis etc. Quality of staff from valet, bellhop, front desk and housekeeping is top notch. When we checked in, despite having confirmed connecting rooms couple of days before arrival with the front desk, we were informed that we would be placed in adjacent rooms across the hall from each other. This simply was not going to work for our family with 3 kids and a 2 year old toddler. The front desk staff were able to upgrade our rooms to beautiful connecting one bedroom suites (It seems to help that i had made the bookings with amex platinum). What a great way to experience our first time at the Jefferson!. No request was too small for the staff - they were able to place an extra fridge with microwave in the rooms. Bed quality is outstanding. Even the sofa beds were surprisingly comfortable! Breakfast/Brunch in the restaurant was a wonderful experience. Top notch food quality. Do yourself a favor and order the "Jefferson Benedict". It's worth it! By the way, Amex benefits were better than at other hotels by giving us 100$ per room for breakfast credit (usually is 60$ per room). Will definitely be staying at the Jefferson next time we visit DC.

Not much more I can add to the many five star reviews already written about the Jefferson, but we really enjoyed our stay there. The location is was great for us, not too far to see all the sites, some within walking distance and others a short bus or metro ride away. The room was really spacious and extremely comfortable. We both had some of the best nights sleep there during our month’s road trip in the US. The staff are all very friendly and professional. Highly recommended.
