Fraud
Error upon arrival, excessive charge upon departure. False pretext to steal $200 from us. Dishonest and unwelcoming hotel — avoid at all costs! We stayed at the Sonesta Washington DC after a 15-hour journey, thinking we could finally rest. We made the reservation through Booking.com and paid for everything in advance. However, upon arrival, we were asked to pay $32 per day per room (2 rooms), even though this was already included in our reservation. The exchange with the front desk was tense: they refused to listen and were rude. It was only the next day, after contacting Booking, that the hotel acknowledged its mistake. But the front desk will remain a very bad memory. Initially, the bill showed $0. However, a week later, we were surprised to find a $200 charge on our account with no explanation. After researching reviews, we discovered that this hotel is known for this type of practice, using credit card imprints to charge unjustified amounts for dubious and false reasons. We immediately sent an email to the hotel, including the hotel manager, Mr. DUVALL, to ask for an explanation and a refund, but to date we have not received any response, which clearly demonstrates the fraud. In the absence of a response from them, we have confirmation that this hotel is to be avoided at all costs: lack of transparency, deplorable welcome, and questionable practices.

AMAZING HOTEL + WORKERS
I had an amazing stay at this hotel! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The staff here go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and welcomed especially Dwait he’s very kind and has such a loving soul he’s overall a 10/10 and needs to be in more establishments !!

Amazing Hospitality!!!
I have been in the hospitality business for about 35 years. I have to say that this one of the best experiences I have had at any hotel that I’ve stayed at in a very long time. My wife, son and I went to DC for a few days to see the museums. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted at the front desk by Jamar. His level of hospitality was unbelievable!! For our entire stay the level of service made us feel like we were the only guests staying there. Everyone was so warm and welcoming. We also had an exceptional dinner at their restaurant and had the pleasure of meeting the manager Curtis. Again the level of hospitality through the entirety of our stay was outstanding!!! Thank you, we will definitely return soon.

Good value for a family.
We stayed as a family for 4 nights in this hotel. We had one standard double queen room. It was big and airy and really well equipped. The hotel is very modern, extremely clean and well maintained. The gym is excellent. Staff are friendly and welcoming.
