Sofitel Washington DC Lafayette Square

The Sofitel’s location is perfect, and since we stayed in August, we got a really good rate. That said, there was no recognition of my ALL Gold membership at check-in—no upgrade, no explanation, nothing. When we mentioned wanting to pay with points, the reaction was just, “Oh, you have points?” which made it clear they hadn’t looked at the profile. The rest of check-in was quick, but very impersonal, with no real connection or Heartist touch. In the room, slippers were missing and we had to call for them, though housekeeping otherwise did a nice job. The gym didn’t have any towels, and the public toilets we visited were very dirty. As for the rooms and the hotel overall, they’re definitely due for a refurbishment.

Being in the hotel and be so close of the most famous activity and place to visit was a good choice ! People who worked also very helpful and professional at the reception

Ideally situated very close to the White House and McPherson Sq Metro stop. Staff very friendly. Rooms are a nice size and beds comfy. room clean but public areas could do with a deep clean, but would stay again.

Such a lovely experience! JP was superb and made our stay exceptional with wonderful service. There was an issue and JP diligently responded with excellent care. Highly commendable! Constance was lovely at the front desk throughout our visit and I highly recommend this hotel if visiting DC. Excellent location too!!!
