Great location, lovely hotel
Great location - close to the sights with plenty of restaurants. Lovely hotel; rooms were larger than expected and well appointed. Comfortable. Super friendly staff, including Drew our bellman!

Close to the White House
The location is as close as you would find to the main attractions in DC. 5 minute walk to the White House, and 10 mins avg bus ride to any of the national museums. The facility gears more towards a business hotel than a resort. Overnight parking rate is pricey. Room is well maintained and decorated, though the appliances are not modern. Good linen.

Best hotel in D.C!
The staff members and especially Drew were really nice and the hotel was absolutely beautiful, not only was the lobby stunning the rooms were even better,I’m definitely coming again.

Disappointing
Certainly not 5 star. I was told in advance they definitely have an EV charger in their lot. They don't. There's no where in the hotel to get lunch and no room service. Hotel is fine but not 5 star.

Perfect location, not a 5 star property experience
The Sofitel’s location is perfect, and since we stayed in August, we got a really good rate. That said, there was no recognition of my ALL Gold membership at check-in—no upgrade, no explanation, nothing. When we mentioned wanting to pay with points, the reaction was just, “Oh, you have points?” which made it clear they hadn’t looked at the profile. The rest of check-in was quick, but very impersonal, with no real connection or Heartist touch. In the room, slippers were missing and we had to call for them, though housekeeping otherwise did a nice job. The gym didn’t have any towels, and the public toilets we visited were very dirty. As for the rooms and the hotel overall, they’re definitely due for a refurbishment.
