This is not a bad hotel. It’s really not. It’s just could be a little better especially considering how many choices you have in DC. For example… my room service did not replenish towels. They took the used ones, but did not leave clean ones , not even wash cloths. They took the used sheets and made the bed , but did not put any sheets on the bed! So, when you are coming back to the room late and after a long day and alls you want to do is go to bed… and no sheets, but the topper and pillows weee made. I don’t understand that. The other thing was that there is no desk in the room to work from. If you are coming strictly for pleasure then that may not be a biggie. However, if you want to do a little work in the room - no desk! I had to sit in bed to do my work and that’s just unacceptable for me. I believe they encourage you to work in the lobby in a communal space - again unacceptable for business. On the bright spot, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The lobby is upscale and modern. The rooms are small just a place to sleep. If you are okay with that - you will like this place.

Hotel was very convenient to everything we had on our bucket list! Outstanding service orientated staff going above and beyond for guests. Nice, clean, well equipped rooms for what was needed. Would definitely recommend and hope to be back to visit!

A good hotel with nice amenities. The area is beautiful and feels more quiet than other places I've stayed near the convention center. There were good restaurants within walking distance and you're not too far from where the action is at. The gym was small, but had more than enough to keep you fit while on the road. The peloton bike was appreciated and utilized! The bed put me to sleep and the bathroom was plenty large for my needs. I would stay here again!

We had a short 24 hour layover in DC and chose to stay at the Thompson. Every interaction we had with the staff was pleasant and above and beyond. Million, the bellhop was especially kind and helpful offering us water and ice for our ride to the airport on a particularly hot day after carefully retrieving and loading our bags. We would stay in this fun and safe neighborhood again and always at the Thompson

Million was extremely pleasant and professional. His assistance made my visit a great experience. Next time in DC I'll be staying here again.
