Great hotel - amazing experience
From the moment we walked in, staff were friendly and welcoming and went out of their way to accommodate us. The hotel is close to so many things - easy walking or quick stroll to the metro. The rooms are beautifully decorated with a minimalist mid-century vibe. Pillows and bedding are soft and comfortable. You just sink right in! The spa is a must. A highlight for us was a tour of the Scandal Room. Our guide, Yab, was very knowledgeable, friendly and shared some fun facts we didn't know previously! We will definitely return as the hotel and all staff exceeded our expectations!

The Watergate #1 Service Inside and Out!
The Watergate is Iconic and the best Hotel in DC for service! Hidden gems and great food, service, spas, pools and views all under one roof! Best service I have had in the USA in a long time! Great room with comfortable surroundings and views! Great people taking care of you at every turn! Will not stay in any other Hotel but the Watergate Hotel when in DC!

The Watergate is top notch with excellent rooms and service! The best of the best when it comes to everything! Will never stay in another hotel when in DC it will always be the Watergate! A class service from dropping the truck with the valet to checking out! 5 stars and above!

Was excited to stay here. It was below expectations
It's a fine 3 star hotel, but, I personally had a lot of issues and would not stay again. Cons: -Small/odd shaped room -Wifi would not connect/did not work in the room -All running water in the room was shut off one night for about 3-4 hours with no notice -No hot water in the shower at night -Housekeeping threw away some of our papers that we still needed -All staff felt very new and unable to answer questions (still waiting for a reply on 1 item) -The restaurant, Kingbird was very expensive ($9 for half of an avocado as a side) and not staffed. I tried to order a drink from the bar but no one showed up to help me so I left after about 15-20 minutes. Pros: -Room was quiet -Gym and pool look nice

A boutique experience in a historic luxury hotel
In addition to the hotel's storied history, and incredible retro-futuristic architecture, the Watergate is an excellent hotel. We arrived before 1pm, our room was ready and were able to check-in early; which almost never happens at similar luxury hotels. Service at the hotel is excellent and housekeeping even provided me with a cloth to clean my glasses. The amenities of the uniquely shaped room are excellent and the swimming pool area was great, with fresh towels being constantly provided. Overall, the hotel has the amenities, bars and restaurants of a large luxury hotel, but with the service of a boutique hotel.
