Willard InterContinental Washington

The Willard is a renowned hotel in Washington, DC. Its grandeur is evident right from the exterior. Throughout your visit, you can sense the rich history embedded in the hotel. While the staff is friendly, they come across as somewhat impersonal; improving customer relations could enhance the experience. The architecture is stunning and well-maintained. However, the rooms tend to be poorly lit, making them feel somewhat dark inside. The pricing is quite high, and the value does not seem proportionate. The highlights of the hotel are the first floor and the gardens, including the historic lobby, Round Robin Bar, and Café du Parc, which are accessible to non-guests. Unfortunately, the rooms lack any special features and are overpriced.The rooms doesn't offered nothing extra and are overpriced.

My wife and I checked in today and realized that there was an afternoon tea at the Willard. And we checked into our amazing room. We came down and had an absolutely amazing time for a very first tea service ever! Highly recommend!

Waiter didn’t listen to instruction on how we wanted our eggs prepared, both plates came out wrong. Virginia ham was unimpressive, looked and tasted like pressed meat. Very disappointed, never again.

My friend and I had an absolutely amazing afternoon tea experience! The sandwiches and sweets were delicious and freshly made. Dining room environment and ambulance were perfect for such occasion: pleasant music, clean dining room, beautiful china and furniture. Our Server Subi was wonderful! She walked us through the menu and provided an outstanding service : attentive, but unobtrusive. She was really sweet! Manager Cesar also passed by and checked on us multiple times during our meal, which was very kind of him! True professionals, and it was such a great pleasure to be served and welcomed by them. I highly recommend afternoon tea experience in the Willard. You won’t be disappointed!

Just finished up a lovely afternoon tea at the Willard’s Peacock Alley. We were celebrating my nieces 3rd birthday and they went way above and beyond to make sure she went home happy and full. They even went as far as to bring her chicken nuggets and fries when they recognized that she wasn’t eating all of the delicacies like the rest of us were. All of the adults agree that the delicacies, champagne, and 3-tier goodies were top notch. And the service was exceptional. The live music by the harpist made it extra special especially when she played happy birthday for our niece as well. Huge thank you to Juan Pablo G(JP), Liliana, and the manager “Cesar?” But not sure if I’m spelling that right. We were there Sunday July 13, 2025.
