Saddlebrook Resort

Excellent experience staying at Saddlebrook the other weekend. Staff was warm and welcoming, food at the main restaurant excellent, the place was very clean, and the grounds well maintained. Staff at pro shop were well informed. Best of all was the excellent tennis clinic setup - knowledgeable and engaging instructors that met us at our level of play and gave us practical advice on how to improve our game.

My friend and I visited Saddlebrook Resort in March 2026 specifically for the tennis program. We loved it! Originally, we were only signed up for one day of the adult tennis clinic, but after a fantastic experience with the coaches (Ed, Hank, Larry), we signed up for a second day. I worked a lot with Larry who was patient, funny, encouraging, and helped me a ton with my technique. We are already talking about returning next spring for another visit!

Had a great tennis week here with my son, with excellent coaching for both of us but disappointed that tennis does not appear to be a focus of this resort anymore. I was here twice in the early 2000's and was excited to bring my 16 year old son with me for a week of tennis training and see the new renovated resort. Real estate conference guests prioritized and literally took over the resort during my stay here: can't get a drink at the bar after tennis, bar closed down completely one day for their poolside party, no chairs available at pool, loud music blaring until late in the evening with the resort oblivious to the fact that the tennis program starts at 7.50 am and tennis guests will need to be up at 6.30 and be in bed by 10. Only one of 2 hot tubs functioning so challenging to soothe those achey muscles after tennis. No tennis pro shop of any kind at the resort, just a large golf pro shop, which makes another statement of what their focus now is. The gym had nothing to wipe down the machines and stretching areas mats with so when I went in there after 5 hours of tennis in the hot sun to stretch never felt that place was clean and couldn't clean up after my use. Grass courts not playable, so although advertised they have all 4 grand slam surfaces we didn't get a chance to hit on grass. I was sent a survey after my stay with not a single question about my tennis experience here, which again indicates that my presence there as a tennis guest isn't a priority. Disappointing because the tennis program was really excellent. As for the renovations, the new rooms are very nice and comfortable so no issues there. I hope the resort focuses more on tennis and making ALL guests feel valued in the future.

Just want to say extremely grateful of the professionalism & the staff. Gabe took care of me last night, and Patrick took care of me this morning! Justin was also awesome he brought my wife’s car very grateful!

Stayed 5 nights in the resort while our son attended the Spring Break tennis camp. Also obtained an outstanding private lesson from Shawn McGee; all of the tennis coaches and instruction are world-class. Courts are well-maintained and in terrific condition. 10/10 rating if you have a child who wants high-level competitive training and feedback. The resort rooms were also recently renovated and significantly improved since our last stay in 2022. Super Pool and pool-bar/restaurant was perfect. Every resort staff member was kind and attentive. Valet employees Gabe, Patrick and Justin deserve recognition, too.
