West Baden Springs Hotel

So relaxing food was excellent and the service was impeccable!

If you are looking for a relaxing getaway in Indiana look no further than West Baden resort. They offer everything the bigger resorts offer and more, staff are amazing, rooms are top notch and food is excellent. Our favorite part about staying is sitting in the covered porch in a rocking chair, you can’t beat the atmosphere this resort has to offer.

We stayed at West Baden Springs Hotel during the second week of December, specifically because of the incredible Christmas tree in the atrium. We booked about four months in advance since it fills up quickly, and we made sure to reserve atrium-view rooms overlooking the tree. We secured two side-by-side rooms: one for my wife, myself and our one-year-old son, and one for my elderly parents. Walking into the atrium was absolutely breathtaking. The Christmas tree and overall ambiance were stunning. It truly feels magical during the holidays. The rooms themselves were nice, bathroom a bit dated. The setting was perfect. We enjoyed taking photos, exploring the hotel, and visiting the sister property, French Lick Springs Hotel, where our son got to see Santa. The only disappointment was that the heater in one of our rooms was not working. We contacted maintenance, and while they were polite and professional, the process took quite a long time. They initially determined a part needed to be ordered, which took about an hour to an hour and a half to diagnose and and hour or so to wait for the part. After that, repairs took another hour or more. In total, we lost most of our afternoon into the evening waiting for the issue to be resolved. Since we were traveling with a one-year-old who needed a nap, it disrupted our plans significantly. Thankfully, we had the second room available, so our son could rest there while maintenance worked. Still, for rooms priced at over $600 per night, it was disappointing that the heater issue was not identified and resolved before check-in. The problem was ultimately fixed. However, no credit or gesture was offered for the inconvenience, which was surprising given the room rate and the time lost. Overall, it’s a stunning property during Christmas, and the atrium alone is worth seeing. I just wish the issue had been handled proactively or acknowledged from the front desk with some form of credit refund when we mentioned this to them.

Can’t say enough good things! Beautiful surroundings, grand hotel, local food and so much more! The free 24 hour shuttle service was icing on the cake!

We spent to relaxing days at the fine hotel. We have visited French Lick and West Baden for a brief getaway the last four years. It is a step back in time for atmosphere with all of the conveniences of 2026. The rooms have always been spacious and comfortable. Dining in the Atrium is a special treat. The huge indoor pool and whirlpool are the perfect place to unwind. The staff is always friendly and courteous. Will be back again next winter.
