My family is currently staying at this resort. We stayed several years ago when our kids were younger and had a great experience. So far, we've been here for almost 4 hours. Our puppy found someone else's dirty socks under the bed, but we understand that things like that can happen during busy times. More troubling that was we waited one hour and thirty minutes for room service. We called several times to follow up. Room service stopped answering the phone, and the front desk didn't seem to have any idea what was going on. Once the food arrived, it was cold and had started to harden. Clearly, our meals had been cooked shortly after we placed our order and had been sitting for all that time. In addition, we had two missing items, no utensils, no glasses or ice for our drinks, no napkins, and no way to open the bottle cap. My 12 year old also asked me to mention that the food was "nasty." We are highly disappointed.

The hotel property is very beautiful, but everything else about this hotel falls short. The staff were at times actively rude. The rooms are not well appointed at all—no mini bar, no fridge, only tiny water bottles (with no where on the premises to buy more). There were no ATMs and the staff weren’t able to help make change (so tipping valet, etc. is very difficult). On the day of checkout, the housekeeping staff opened my room door without knowing first twice before the 11 am checkout—once at 830 am and another at 10:00. The restaurant service was incredibly slow—it took 45 minutes to get a cup of coffee. (Kudos, however, to the valet staff who were hustling and were very friendly/helpful). To be blunt, this hotel sucks. I will not stay here again if I can avoid it.

We booked one night and when we tried to book a second night, we had to make a second separate reservation for the second night. Our card was charged NINE times and only TWO of those were the actual charges. That means SEVEN CHARGES that were bogus!!! Customer service said they would refund our money and give us Hilton points.... what a joke. We were going to come back in June for our children's birthday but have decided against it. We've never had this issue with Hotel Zaza or The Houstonian. All of my family and friends are being warned about this issue and I am taking it to Facebook review sites.

Our family went for a weekend staycation. We spent a lot of time in the pool. The weather in March is unpredictable, so the heated pool is great! The property is clean and nice, all the staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is phenomenal. We didn't golf, but it is one of the best courses around. We had dinner at their restaurant Back Table. Their food is wonderful! You can go for a dress up meal, or in your shorts and sandals on the patio overlooking the golf course. We also enjoyed spending family time at the outdoor seating area in the evening.

Our family absolutely loved our stay! The kids loved the heated pool and ice cream shop, the parents loved the ease and relaxation! There is a Keurig coffee maker and fridge in each room as well as a lovely shower (no tub). We reserved a balcony room and really enjoyed it. We highly recommend staying here!
