We had an excellent experience at The Grand. King deluxe room was spacious and appeared newly renovated. Hotel spotless, breakfast excellent. Cozy bar nice for drinks before and after dinner. Staff was the star of the show however, with excellent advice and always happy to help. Highly recommend. Location couldn't be better. Valet parking available or car park near by.

This hotel is stunning! The decor in both the old and new rooms is lush. We were tingly put on the new side but I asked to be moved to have a better view out of the window as faced into the back street. They moved us to the older side with a wonderful view over the station and the fields beyond. The bath was sunken down under the window ray wot light into the room. There was a walk in shower, dispersed king bed, arms chairs, and just such nice boys! Milton brown toiletries, slippers and dressing gowns! Loved our stay! It was my partners birthday and they left chocolates and a card wishing him happy birthday! So thoughtful! The only let down was room service, Food was overcooked and expensive- wouldn’t recommend that bit! Breakfast was delicious and the restaurant is stunning. The whole experience was great. Loved it and will go back

The staff at The Grand are superb! Matteo arranged our dining reservations months in advance, secured an excellent Blue Badge guide, had our luggage delivered to our room prior to our arrival,and provided exceptional service throughout our stay. Ian, Wayne, Paul, and Rob added to this level of excellence while we were in York. When departing for adventures in the morning we were given suggestions for our day and when arriving back again, were greeted with warmth by these staff members. Each return felt as if we were being welcomed back home. The hotel is beautifully appointed, the location could not be better, and the dining was enjoyable. There is not one negative aspect of this hotel and its staff. While many hotels can offer a beautiful setting, we have found none (though extensive travels) which can compare with the impeccable service found at The Grand.

What a fantastic place ! The staff were so welcoming and couldn't do enough for us during our stay. The room was amazing with a fantastic bath, tv's and tea coffee facilities. The valet car parking service was great and they even left us a little tin of mints in the car for our journey home. Its the little things that count and they ticked every box.

After The Principal faced difficulties with burst pipes, rooms were offered at very short notice at The Grand. Both hotels collaborating so well to best serve the customer! Amazing service and sensational food throughout my stay at The Grand.
