Friendly staff from the valet to the desk check in. The property is spotless and accommodations were excellent.

Beautiful property with outstanding service

Our son's wedding was being held there, so we had a room for the night. From the time of our arrival, the staff was attentive, helpful, and friendly. The food was also excellent. Can't wait until our next stay!

Beautiful resort, horrible service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

While we I thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance and amenities of the hotel, there is a serious issue we faced with the level of service provided. It fell well below the standard one would expect from a five-star establishment of this caliber. Throughout our stay, we noticed a pervasive understaffing issue that impacted our experience negatively. From difficulty in flagging down staff members to extended waits for basic services, such as ordering refreshments at the poolside or enjoying a cappuccino at breakfast, our interactions highlighted a noticeable lack of attentiveness and availability from the team. For instance, during our visit to the pool area, we encountered challenges obtaining towels and had to wait an unreasonable amount of time for assistance. This, coupled with the absence of staff to replenish amenities or take orders, detracted significantly from our enjoyment of the facilities. While I acknowledge the efforts of the staff members present, it was evident that their capacity was stretched thin, leaving guests feeling underserved and frustrated. Considering the premium service fee and nightly rates charged, the disparity between expectation and reality was disappointing.

Great Experience

My wife and I stayed at The Estate Yountville for our 10 year anniversary and loved the experience. Rooms - The rooms are updated, clean and very quiet. The overall estate is spread across 20+ acres, with low density and we did not encounter many other guests unless we were at the pool or bar. It felt like our own private resort. Location - Great location within Napa Valley; quick, easy access to wineries throughout the valley. Also great location in Yountville and within walking distance to all restaurants and shops. Service - The staff was very accommodating of requests and helpful to provide local recommendations. Overall it was a great experience.

All in all a wonderful stay. I love the April/May to go before it gets crowded, worked out perfectly.

This was our 2nd stay here. We loved it the first time around, room, service, location, and all the amenities. My friend and I arrived on a Tuesday for a 4 night, 5 day stay. I had our days pretty filled up with activities, ballooning, zip lining, hiking and of course wine tasting. Check-in was a breeze. This year we also indulged at the spa for much needed Therapeutic Couples Massages. Our first room was was very nice, clean and because of a couple of issues on our last stay, a nice bottle of chilled champagne and a charcuterie board awaiting us. We immediately turned down the AC because the sun was beaming into our room. We unpacked and proceeded to enjoy the pool area. We got back to our room a couple hours later to notice our room was not cooling down. We called the front desk to send maintenance which then was established all the rooms in that section had failing AC. We then proceeded to pack up our belongings and were moved to another room. It was just a real inconvenience but at the end of a day it was all worked out. Thank goodness they had a comparable room to move us too. My only question: why in the first place were we put there if that whole section of rooms had failing AC? I assume others had complained and the week we were there was unusually warm for Californian standards at that time of the year. The breakfast buffet was great as usual, all the assortments of fresh fruit, bagels and pastries, along with artisan meats and cheese, smoked salmon, coffee, teas, juices BUT the hotel got rid of the complementary morning Mimosas. I asked the bar tender and YES they did, and now it is an option to purchase at the bar. LOL bring back the Mimosas. To note, this time around we took advantage of Couples Therapeutic Couples Massage, 2 days in a row. Check-in was a breeze. I reserved well in advance. It was a wonderful experience from the moment you walk through the doors. The tour, the glass of Champagne and all the amenities of a luxury Spa. my Technician: Stephanie was wonderful, in fact, she was available the second time I went too. All in all a wonderful stay. I love the month to go before it gets crowded, worked out perfectly.

At the Villagio Inn & Spa in Yountville, CA, not only is their front desk and reservations staff exceptional, we would like to particularly recognize their concierge, Mary DuVoure. Mary exhibited exceptional customer care and a true interest in the guests at the property. She was able to snag highly-coveted reservations at the French Laundry restaurant - not once, but twice! The Villagio ranks up there with the best of them - especially their concierge - and deserves to be recognized.
