Esplanade Zagreb Hotel

This is a large distinguished central hotel in Zagreb. The surrounding neighborhood is a bit seedy, with my brother having been solicited for drugs twice in a walk. Very clean quiet rooms. Rooms that face centrally are small. The furnishings are a bit dated and take up a great deal of floor space in the small rooms. The tub hand held shower is a bit difficult to use without flooding the bathroom. The beds are very comfortable and in excellent shape. All in all, a comfortable hotel with the less expensive rooms being quite small.

Great overnight stay with amazing breakfast! The service was nice and the room is cozy. Although the windows were facing the main street, sound isolation was excellent.

I love this hotel. The rooms are great, especially the suites, the beds super comfortable and the breakfast is the best - including strukle, Prosecco and A la carte eggs.

A truly remarkable hotel with a staf and service that is impecable. Great restaurant, food, food choices, fitness facility and location.

Location was good, 14 minute walk to main square never seemed too far, adjacent underground mall with grocery store was very handy.. Grand old hotel, celebrating 100 years. Impressive lobby, bar and restaurant areas. Room (superior king) was large, well equipped with desk, armchair, safe, fridge, coffeemaker etc; separate bath and walk in shower; as with many older hotels not many outlets, hairdryer attached to its drawer with a short cord so you had to stick your head in the drawer to dry your hair. Breakfast (a la carte plus buffet) was excellent in impressive dining room. Overall good choice, highly recommended.
