The hotel has excellent location. It's very comfortable and nice furnished. The staff is very polite and friendly. Rooms are spacious and clean. Bed is very big and comfortable. The bathroom clean and has everything you need. Breakfast is excellent too. Very big choice for everyone, even the people with food alergies. If you come by car, there is a spacious garage nearby. The main Jelacica square is just 10-15 minutes walking.

I recently checked in at Esplanade Zagreb Hotel, a well-known 5-star hotel, and was quite disappointed with the service at reception. The check-in experience felt cold and unwelcoming. The receptionist immediately asked for my passport, visa, and credit card without any explanation. When I asked why my credit card was needed, I was simply told “for deposit,” but no details were provided regarding the amount or purpose, which felt unprofessional. There was also no effort to explain basic information such as breakfast timings, hotel facilities, or directions within the hotel — things you would normally expect, especially at a 5-star property. Overall, the interaction lacked warmth, clarity, and the level of hospitality expected from a hotel of this standard. I hope management can improve staff training to ensure guests feel welcomed and informed upon arrival.
