Our stay at the Baur au Lac was amazing. The location is perfect and the hotel and the rooms are beautiful, elegant and refined. The new restaurant is one of the most beautiful breakfasts I have ever enjoyed. However, what really set Baur Au Lac apart was the staff. The Concierge team in particular was super helpful to me before, during and after our stay. The entire staff was cheerful, friendly and engaging. Far from home it’s great to connect and the staff to a person were amazing. At so many luxury hotels the staff is mechanical and pleasant not genuine and that was not the case at BaL. Special thanks to concierge team for helping arrange the mailing of something special left behind. We are so very grateful for the help but it also right in line with how great the concierge team was for us. Try Casa Ferlin! Delicious and authentic.

This hotel is clearly a high-end hotel and is an absolutely beautiful hotel, rich in history but I would say my experience wasn't quite 5 Star. We paid £1000 to stay the night, but firstly, we couldn't get our car cleaned (arrived Saturday and left Sunday), and also we couldn't get into the outside restaurant. I think the money you are spending, these things should be easily accommodated or am I being picky?

Lovely hotel in the heart of Zuerich. Onsite restaurant service - dinner, light fare in the lounge, and breakfast - was exceptional. Hotel staff is extremely helpful, informative, and cordial, providing a much-appreciated pass for the Zuerich Kunstmuseum. Hotel is excellently located for wandering the Zuerich waterfront, lake boat excursion options, and the heart of the Zuerich shopping district. Easy walking distance to all major cultural sites - cathedrals, churches, museums, and old town. Loved this hotel!

Walking into the Baur au Lac always puts a smile on my face. The hotel has been family run for generations and I felt welcome home. They have a superb contemporary art collection (think Nicolas Party over the reception desk). My room was huge and well appointed with large windows and knock-you-out comfy bed. Big marble bathroom with a stand up shower and separate bath tub. Great custom bath products, and I appreciated the expansive closet space with a yoga mat and signature blue umbrella. Breakfast is amazing and worth setting aside extra time. Lunch at Marguita, the hotel's new restaurant, is also a must. Loved every minute and being made to feel at home.

I am a frequent global traveler and stay in the 5 star hotels regularly. Baur au Lac is the type of first class hotel that remembers what it means to be 5 star. Think Le Bristol in Paris or The Dorchester in London. Staff is beyond courteous. Facilities are excellent. Location is perfectly located just off the Lake near Old Town.
