Reviews for Baur au Lac
There is not a better hotel in the world.
I have stayed here 5-7 times a year for business for a few decades. Just there for the first time in a few years, and I never even shop for alternatives anymore. Most hotels rely on the brand name they have internationally, but deliver mediocre quality quality. You will not find a better hotel in the world, and I say that after having travelled over 4 million miles for business in my life.

Even better than being at home!
Not being my first stay at the BAUR au Lac, it should not surprise me that I found it like my home away from home. But it is truly remarkable that they keep such high standards consistent throughout time. That shows a truly concern about guests wellbeing and quality of services. Can say without any doubt, that is the best hotel across time and locations.

The Baur au Lac Staff made the difference!
Our stay at the Baur au Lac was amazing. The location is perfect and the hotel and the rooms are beautiful, elegant and refined. The new restaurant is one of the most beautiful breakfasts I have ever enjoyed. However, what really set Baur Au Lac apart was the staff. The Concierge team in particular was super helpful to me before, during and after our stay. The entire staff was cheerful, friendly and engaging. Far from home it’s great to connect and the staff to a person were amazing. At so many luxury hotels the staff is mechanical and pleasant not genuine and that was not the case at BaL. Special thanks to concierge team for helping arrange the mailing of something special left behind. We are so very grateful for the help but it also right in line with how great the concierge team was for us. Try Casa Ferlin! Delicious and authentic.

5 star hotel 3 star experience
This hotel is clearly a high-end hotel and is an absolutely beautiful hotel, rich in history but I would say my experience wasn't quite 5 Star. We paid £1000 to stay the night, but firstly, we couldn't get our car cleaned (arrived Saturday and left Sunday), and also we couldn't get into the outside restaurant. I think the money you are spending, these things should be easily accommodated or am I being picky?
