Leaving Shangri-La
Repetition, according to my octogenarian mother, is boring. Only the Good Lord knows how many times I have stayed in the Shangri-La. Only the Good Lord knows how many times I have given it a five-star review so I shall, yawn, repeat myself. The BAL is the best hotel in world. Full Stop. Over and Out. Thank you for playing and don't wake me up before Christmas. IT's staggering. Leaving the place hurts almost as much as Arsenal losing the title run-in.

Excellent hotel! Needs nespresso machines in the room!
Beautiful hotel! The room was spacious for Zurich, very nice bathroom and amenities. My rooms overlooked the construction and no note was ever sent about this,quite annoying. Also,totally unacceptable that such a hotel doesn't have a nespresso machine in the room. These were my only 2 negative points. The minibar in the room was free which was great. The breakfast was exceptional. I would come back but definitely not to a construction room view.

Disappointing - not dog friendly
I stayed here some time ago and whilst the restaurant and rooms are beautiful, the service was somewhat cold compared with other luxury hotels. Since I have tried to go back to the bar for drinks and they are not dog friendly. I have also stayed at the Widder and would recommend above the Baur au Lac.

Our favorite hotel in Zurich
It is definitely one of our favorite hotels in the world. The staff is superb- service is impeccable and their breakfast is one of the best. Julius at the front desk and Patricia from F&B are truly exceptional! The rooms have been renovated and it is conveniently located to the main area of town.

A fantastic hotel
Always fantastic time in Baur au Lac Zürich, one of my favorite hotels in the world. Very elegant, best location in Zürich, very nice people and very chic! You can see the elegance of the European continent! A great House and one of the best hotel in Europe
