Park Hyatt Zurich

Excellent location, the room was great and the staff was excellent! We only stayed for one night but it was not too far from the main train station and close walking distance to a lot of great attractions and food.

I expected this hotel to be absolute top class, as the price tag for cheapest room is around 1000€ per night. Likely I paid my 1 night stay with points, as I believe there was no shown reasoning for that cost. The staff in the lobby was the highlight of the hotel. They were extremely helpful and classy, very professional, exactly what you expect. The room was a bit old, but probably not old enough for a redesign for a while. The bed was the hardest bed I have ever slept on. It almost felt like sleeping on the floor with a rug. Most hotels who charge 1k per night have down toppers to make the bed extra soft, but Park Hyatt did not have any. Just the mega hard mattress. Also the pillows and duvets felt exactly like those used by Hilton for example, I would have expected higher quality and softer materials by a hotel this level. The nastiest part of the stay was the bathroom sink. It did not drain at all (well it did if you gave it a few minutes) because there was so much stuff around the glock (the most visible stuff seemed like past throw up, which was extremely disgusting to see while drinking from the tap). You can see the picture attached. Also the spa was nothing to celebrate, a few loungers placed in a small room, and the a sauna. I would not call it a spa. But atleast you do have a sauna if you wish to use one, but its definitely not one of those spas where you would like to spend hours and relax. Breakfast was alright, nothing to complain. They had everything you need. All in all, I would definitely not visit again especially with that price tag. I know Zurich is expensive, but I believe you would get better value at MO or La Reserve with same price.

This hotel was nice. The check-in staff was friendly. The room was cleaned well and the location is good. However, overall service was lacking compared to other Park Hyatts around the world. The majority of the staff were friendly. At times, there was no one in front of the hotel to greet you or help you with your bags. Room service was inconsistent. In-room dining was disappointing.

Had a wonderful two night stay here before meetings in Basel. Room was spacious and clean and I wanted for nothing during my stay. I was especially pleased with the quality of the food in the lobby restaurant, had the best weiner schnitzel and ice cream. Every staff member was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Not sure what the story is... Terrible night sleep.. Stuffy hot room with Air Con dysfunctional to all intent and purpose. Not what you'd expect from a decent three/four star in a European city.
