Reviews for Camden Harbour Inn

Overpriced, not quite a luxury Inn.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Our room was up the VERY steep stairs, luckily, they helped with the luggage. Our room was very plain/modern, but the AC was loud, they had the old clunky window units. The bed was sadly lumpy, sunken and not comfortable at all. We were not able to sleep well, which was unfortunate for the prices they charge. At one point coming into the Hotel, we could hear and see a young woman playing music loudly on her deck and dancing on the deck. Not very appealing. They did have a nice breakfast with an assortment of choices which we enjoyed. We did not try the restaurant for dinner as the prices seemed very high.

Overprice semi luxury old inn

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Lovely hotel, clean rooms , well appointed, but beds were lumpy and seemed old. Front desk staff seemed new and clueless - not so helpful. Hotel is owned by two Dutch men. Who clearly pay attention to room details. My big complaint is that hotel is older historic building, with thin walls so be aware if you are a light sleeper. Also, overpriced for a "semi-luxury to be" hotel. Amenities said bike tours but that means they rent out rooms to outside bike tours. No bikes for use on premises. Finally , Breakfast at Natalie's restaurant , but although included, they require you tip.

Every single aspect of our experience at the Camden Harbour Inn was exceptional. The setting, the room, the common areas all beyond charming. The staff could not have been more helpful and welcoming. The folks manning the reception desk made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Each and every encounter with the staff throughout our stay was a pleasure. Dinner at Natalie’s was spectacular. Food was creative and delicious. Service by Anna was first rate, Jake at the bar was the best. The breakfasts also were great. Never met the chef and kitchen staff but something special is happening back there for sure. To be honest, this was a bit of a splurge for us but worth every penny. We could not have been happier with our stay at the CHI.

Charming

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Very charming hotel. Great restaurant. I have it a 4 instead of 5 because while nice and charming, it’s not a luxury hotel. Carpet need replacing and outside needs painting. Very steep stairs so avoid rooms on third floor if elderly. The restaurant is great and staff are wonderful.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience. Great location with a nice view of the harbor from our room as well as the porch dining area. The staff was exceptional. Very professional.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The staff here is so friendly and accommodating, which always enhances a vacation. The actual accommodations were awesome! I really miss the comfort of that amazing bed and waking up to the beautiful view of the bay. This was the first place that I booked for our Maine vacation and it ended up being our last stop! Could not imagine a better ending. Thank you all so much!

I can't say enough good things about this Inn. I felt like I should have paid them more at the end of the stay which is something you rarely feel these days!
