Excellent Stay ! Again !
Inn by the Sea saved me from a disastrous "pet friendly" Inn that I had booked for the weekend in downtown Portland. I called at 7 am after a sleepless Friday night to see if I could get a pet friendly room at Inn by the Sea. There was no way I was staying for the second night and was willing to drive 4+hours home if I had to! They got me and my pup a room and had it ready for me within a few hours! I have stayed at the Inn by the Sea 6 or 7 times now. They went above and beyond once again! Great night sleep unlike the night before! Excellent dinner for my dog and myself in the lounge. My dog and I treated like gold! I was already booked for a stay at Inn by the Sea later this year and I cannot wait to just head there instead of taking chances on a new place again! Highly recommend!

wonderful overnight stay
Maine Yoga Adventures had a fabulous time staying at the inn. The two bedroom beach suite is so nicely set up with beautiful views from the balcony during both daytime & night! The habitat restoration area and quick access to the beach was fantastic. The staff is top notch.

The word Gracious with a capital G is what puts the Inn above the rest. We have adored Mark at the front desk for many years.

Beautiful, pampered, serene, and super pet friendly
Lovely stay at the Inn by the Sea. Guest services was so nice when we got there. They were extremely welcoming to our dog Hazel and provided lots of treats and accommodations specifically for her. There was a pet friendly cafe area with a fireplace where they offered a full menu as well as a pet friendly menu. The environment was so warm and peaceful even the dogs were at ease, I never heard one dog bark the entire time we were there. We stayed in one of the garden suites where we had patio access to the lawn right outside our room. The views of the ocean were beautiful. The suite itself was newly renovated, so clean and comfortable with a massive soaking tub. The walls were thick and we didn't hear any other guests. It felt very private. We used the wonderful spa services, one of us had a massage while the other used the steam room. We felt so refreshed and rejuvenated. Even if you don't have a dog this was an incredible place to stay.

Right by the beach, easy to get into Portland, great spa, great resturaunt, and very friendly staff! Would definitely reccomend.
