Let me first say this is a cool hotel in an awesome location to shops, restaurants, etc. We got the king size room/bed and it was comfortable. Very clean and spacious. They offer fruit, croissants and muffins in the morning, delivering them to your room. It would have been nice to have a fridge or an ice maker close by. The service/staff were top notch. If there was an issue, they quickly responded. Always professional and friendly. The cons—hot water. I rarely got a hot shower. They offered to put us in another room but it was late and we didn’t want to move. The maintenance guy checked it out and said it took just 1 minute for hot water. That was a lie as I timed it on my phone, close to 7 minutes for hot water. The day before it was over 10 minutes to get hot water. For the price per day, we should have been told to expect that. Very disappointing. Be prepared to pay $49 a day for Valet parking. You can do public parking cheaper but the convenience to come and go made us use valet. Overall we were happy with our stay as the little things mean a lot to me. Just disappointed how the hot water issue was handled.

I am of mixed minds about this place. It was the least expensive of the centrally located hotels in Charleston. But, at $500 a night, we had some dissappointments. I will say the location was great and the room spacious, clean and comfortable. We do not know what the signature scent is, that is pumped into the lobby, but it is nauseating. Spending time there was not pleasant The hotel is trying to be avant garde with expensive art and this focus seems to take precedence over guests. The staff does respond quickly when request is made, but they are not proactive. It seems chaotic at times. They do not have a central front desk to find someone always around for help. They put out coffee in the am, but no hot water for Tea drinkers. You have to ask for hot water. Our bathroom floor was not cleaned until after our 4th night. (it was clean when we arrived) Small things like not leaving some clean towels or TP when running low would not even be an issue, but for a high priced hotel.. they were noticable.

The Vendue is a top notch property with unique decor, well-appointed rooms, attentive staff, and really good "goodies" such as fresh baked warm croissants and muffins delivered in the AM. Bottom line, this hotel is an absolute treat in Charleston.

Very comfortable bed and pillows. Very interesting art. Love the champagne on arrival and the cookies at night. We didn’t eat at revival this time but I know it’s awesome. The rooftop bar has great drinks and an amazing view. We will be staying again.

Amazing customer service, they bend over backwards to keep you happy. Lots of freebies: breakfast, fruit, lemonade, arrival beverage, mimosas, treats. Very cool art throughout both buildings. The restaurants are excellent too. You can’t get a better location. I’d definitely stay here again!
