Amazing place and experience in front of the Machu Picchu mountains. The restaurant is a must go for visitors before or after entering Machu Picchu. Food and services are great.

Lunch and drinks with the best server, Russell

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

After a long wet day at Manchu Picchu my husband and I decided to get lunch and drinks here at the Belmond Sanctuary Lodge. I knew the service we would get would be top tier but, nothing prepared me for the EXCEPTIONAL service we would get from our server Russell. Russell was a wealth of knowledge about the menu but, more importantly about Peru and it’s beautiful culture. Our drinks were done with such expertise and delicious. Please get the homemade ice cream as it was one of the best I’ve had ever. Thank you Russell and the Belmont for such a great afternoon. I’m wiser and more knowledgeable after speaking with Russell.

Amazing Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

10/10 recommend. Specifically the service was incredible. So thoughtful. After the potato ceremony the chef made us a special dish we requested. They went above and beyond in every way. Bartender invented a drink for us!

We visited Peru and the entire trip was spectacular. Orient-Express hotels provided exceptional service and world-class accommodations. We stayed at the Miraflores Park Hotel, Hotel Monasterio, and Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge. All three hotels had beautiful rooms, outstanding restaurants, and a helpful friendly English-speaking staff. From now on, Orient-Express will be at the top of my list for worldwide travel.

We traveled to Peru and enjoyed stays at Miraflores Hotel in Lima, Hotel Monasterio in Cusco, and Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge. I am highly satisfied and recommend these hotels without reservation.

Our travels have taken us to several Orient-Express properties. The Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge is exclusively situated at one of the most 'magical and mysterious' sites in the Americas, and guarantees the visitor never-to-be forgotten experiences.
