The hotel was nice but the majority of the building is a residence so very busy with families. Not what we were looking for. The two a la carte restaurants for dinner were great but the lunch restaurant and buffet were disappointing. The beach was walkable and we enjoyed the warm water. You do have to get a spot early if you want shade as there is definitely not enough spots for the amount of people.

I recently visited Wyndham Alltra Nuevo Vallarta on May 3rd to attend a wedding. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing due to several issues with how the resort handled day pass policies. I purchased a day pass at 6 PM to enjoy the wedding, but throughout the evening, my group and I were persistently reminded by the security team that the pass expired at 10 PM. This began during dinner service, disrupting our meal and causing us to miss part of the reception—a significant part of the event. As if this wasn’t enough, when the reception concluded and the wedding party moved to the front of the property, our wristbands were cut off at the front desk. Immediately afterward, security approached us again, this time in front of other guests, attempting to remove us. To make matters worse, after moving to the bar at the front of the property, we were approached yet again by security. This repeated harassment escalated to the point where the groom, who should have been enjoying his special day, felt compelled to intervene. It was entirely inappropriate that he had to address this situation instead of focusing on celebrating his wedding. Adding to the frustration, there were empty seats at the reception area, yet the staff rigidly enforced the day pass policy without any flexibility or consideration for the circumstances. The constant hounding by security throughout the evening made us feel unwelcome and embarrassed, turning what should have been a joyous occasion into a stressful and humiliating experience. While I understand the need for policies, the way they were enforced lacked professionalism and sensitivity. This rigid approach disrupted a meaningful event and left a lasting negative impression. I hope the resort takes this feedback seriously and reevaluates how policies are enforced to ensure a more positive experience for future guests.

We stayed at Vallarta Alltra for a few days before going to Tulum. Our stay was very nice! The staff was amazing. Emerelda and her crew from the towel cabana were amazing. They got people involved, whether that is playing volleyball or just conversations in general. Emerelda made our trip that much more enjoyable. Everyone was very welcoming.

Big rooms and balconies, good service, beautiful pools, but horrible food and drinks. Beach is nice, but beach furniture is very old and outdated. Good price for what you get. Resort has very limited entertainment, people are sitting on the steps.

We had beautiful weather, the beach was well maintained, and the ocean waves were wonderful(careful of riptide). Beach volleyball was lots of fun. 5/5 stars for Esmeralda, Teresa, and Loreti. The room wasn't well set up for siblings, as the extent of privacy for the shower and toilet is partially frosted glass and a partial wall. The food was good, but not exceptional. Side note: If you do unfortunately get sick, they are very accommodating for takeout exceptions.
