The Dolli at Acropolis

Grand and uninterrupted view of Acropolis from luxurious rooftop bar/restaurant nicely appointed in a modern fashion elevates to the sphere of Greek Gods and Goddesses at least in your mind. Service is SUPERB attentive to you every minute while your stay. Real 5 star experience.

The service is impeccable. The rooftop bar and restaurant has the best view of the Acropolis. The hotel decor has been done up very tastefully - chic! In the heart of the city the location could not be better. I’d highly recommend this hotel if you visit Athens.

THE DOLLI, what to say except it’s one of the nicest, if not the nicest places to stay. The staff are ever present, understated and always present. The design is warm, and super chic, without being stuffy. A lot of thought has gone into placing various original works of art and objects in the right places to create what is an uplifting atmosphere that resonates throughout the hotel. The rooms are superb, the bed is as fluffy as you can imagine and the shower pressure is undeniable. The food & quality, from breakfast to dinner, is without fault. The service, always restrained and with a smile, is an example of old school elegance that eludes most hotels. The hotel’s tag line, “A hotel to live” lives up in every way. I stayed with my wife from 10th to 13th April to mark me retiring. We absolutely loved it. The lounge sweet and cake buffet looked amazing and tasted better. The hotel is well located for the Acropolis and other attractions. Everything is easily walkable. The staff were lovely, the room was great with fresh cake and strawberries left each day. The roof terrace and view from it is as good as the photos. The food there was also good. The Thursday night DJ playing laid back tunes was a nice touch. Definitely recommend. The note and complementary champagne with more cake to mark me retiring was a lovely touch.

We had a bad experience at the roof garden restaurant. There was no table available outside.We asked if a table would be available soon, otherwise we could just have lunch inside. they confirmed that we would have a table shortly. While waiting we had a coffee at the bar. After half an hour a table was free and the barman told us that they were preparing it for us. However, we see a couple coming accompanied by someone from the staff to the specific table. When we asked for the bill, someone came to say that the other couple had a reservation. I give one star, because they offered the coffees.
