The Sukhothai Bangkok

The Sukhothai is my top choice for a long weekend getaway in Bangkok, especially when traveling with family. From the moment you step into the property, you’re greeted with a calming, almost sanctuary-like atmosphere that sets the tone for a relaxing stay. The hotel’s design beautifully blends traditional Thai aesthetics with understated luxury, making it feel both elegant and welcoming. We booked two connecting rooms—one of which was a spacious Deluxe Suite. The suite offered ample room for our family to unwind comfortably, with thoughtful touches that made the space feel more like a well-appointed residence than a typical hotel room. The layout was ideal for families, and the connecting setup provided both privacy and convenience. The hotel staff were consistently warm, attentive, and resourceful—ready with helpful suggestions and always quick to accommodate requests. All in all, The Sukhothai offers an exceptional blend of tranquility, service, and comfort—making it a perfect base for a rejuvenating family escape in the heart of Bangkok.

I attended private boxing training with coach Ole, it was very productive and enjoyable training, he gave lots of helpful tips. The facilities are super nice at this location, and have a gym, sauna and pool as well. There is air conditioning throughout, towels and lemon infused water, and all equipment necessary for training.

I enjoyed the Thai high tea in The Salon as an indulgent treat. Nong and Mark and other colleagues were attentive but not over bearing. The room is elegant Thai style and the sweet and savoury treats wonderful. Most of the tiny dishes were new to me, so an added bonus.

A great hotel for families, couples and business. Sukhothai Bangkok is always our first choice in Bangkok. You really could not miss the buffet breakfast in Sukhothai, energized breakfast with lots of varieties.... The attentive service from front desk, F&B, housekeeping etc. make your stay a remarkable one! Special compliments to Eve and Kyo! Especially Eve, her sunshine smile always make your day a great one! One Bangkok is also nearby, brand new shopping mall with Harbourland, your kids will love it!

I had the pleasure of another Sukhothai stay - my fourth - and it was as fabulous as the previous three. The Sukhothai is located on a piece of property that's pretty massive by downtown Bangkok standards, and you feel more like you're at a resort than a property in the middle of the city. The rooms and gardens are pristinely maintained, and housekeeping was happy to come day or night to make up the room. The "breakfast" is far more than a breakfast - think Sunday brunch at a five-star hotel. I got a massage at their newly-built spa, and the facility and massage were out of this world. But what makes the hotel is the outstanding staff. The concierge desk helped with everything from show tickets to a Botox appointment. Staff were caring and attentive, and I don't have enough good things to say about them. Kudos again to The Sukhothai. It is five stars all around, and I'll definitely be back.
