This is truly a beautiful hotel, in gorgeous grounds and in an iconic location. Peaceful and calm during our stay yet close to the centre of Bath. Communications from Katie during my husband’s process of reservation was timely and very professional. It was a total surprise to me that we were staying and we were delighted to be offered an upgrade. Our room was fantastic. Located at the rear of the hotel, accessed through the grounds. Cleanliness was first rate and comfort within the room was excellent. We had booked afternoon tea as part of our two night package which was a little underwhelming - not too many savouries really. We also felt that the attention from the staff was a little lacking in warmth and not particularly attentive considering the hotel didn’t seem to be overly busy at this time. My husband and I both had a spa treatment which was excellent and we also used the pool which was very nice. We did have a drink in the bar one evening and again, the service was professional but a little cold - similarly at breakfast. Not too much small talk and not too many smiles. Maybe that’s how guests prefer it although we do feel it is nice to be checked upon during service. Overall a special hotel in a special location - just scored down slightly by our own views on the restaurant and bar service.

We came here for afternoon tea. The food was exquisite! The sandwiches were delightful and were replenished as a complimentary gesture, and the cakes were absolutely delightful. You were able to try as many teas as you wanted each with a unique flavour. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and approachable. A lovely afternoon tea was enjoyed by us both.

Stunning afternoon tea experience. This is well and truly a 5* hotel and staff deserve so much prase for the service and attentiveness they provide. The surroundings and furtniture are immaculate and the afternoon tea was gorgeous. The afternoon tea was themed to the writer Jane Austin as a celebration of her career. You can have an extra layer of sandwiches included as complementary and try lots of flavours of tea and coffee as well as hot chocolate, as much as you can drink. There was not one leaf in the grounds out of place!! We highly recommend.

Beautiful and elegant. The food was excellent. The grounds and location are very special, and there was a spa, but we were so busy we didn't make use of the spa, nor did we sit out among the grounds. I think they called our room a junior suite and it was nice and huge for a couple that essentially just slept there. It was odd that a place with such a delightful staff did have one that was a little rude and surly. He seemed to be managing thing in the restaurant in the evening. But I should say that any requests we made of the hotel was executed efficiently with a smile. Except that guy. Also, Bath is crowded and this hotel is nicely located just outside of the crowds.

Tje Crescent hotel is a beautiful hotel with an exquisite garden. We stayed one night and had dinner at the restaurant: the food was delicious. Did we mention huge quality mattress + pillow? We spent a wonderful night and woke up to have a very good beakfast.
