Kempinski Hotel Barbaros Bay Bodrum

We would like to thank all Kempinski family for making our stay memorable and unforgettable. Special thanks to each and every staff member, which we met during our short, but such a luxurious getaway. Especially, to Front Office Manager Deniz, who welcomed us at the very entrance and took a great care till the last minute, showing the real hospitality and a high level of service of his entire team, which is obviously well-trained and warm hearted; Guest Experience Manager Mevlüt, who greeted us daily with a friendly smile and positive vibes; Erhan, Training and Development Manager, who keeps the spirit of Kempinski and shares his great experience with the staff; and many many more brilliant staff members, which we met at reception, concierge, bell desk, operator, Olives, Bar Blue, Barbarossa, room service, HK team, pool attendants and beach host. We stayed in the hotel at the beginning of the season and can confidently say that this is the best time of the year to visit. As a family of three with a newborn baby, we had a very peaceful time, enjoying the tranquility and amazing views having all the necessary baby items in the room as well, such as baby crib, bath amenities, kettle etc. The hotel has plenty actives for families and single travellers as well. You may enjoy the infinity pool, which is very spacious and located in the most comfortable area, right next to the rooms block and restaurants. The beach is totally secluded and relaxing, plenty of green trees, which create the natural shade, great flower landscapes, sandy entrance to the sea and incredible water with all the shades of blue. There is a playground for kids, massive green field for activities, and well organized sunbed area with a distance between each section, so you can definitively have a full privacy. The way to the beach is also worth mentioning since it is quite a nice walk between the flowery trees, hammocks, art pieces and handmade items. You can feel the Kempinski spirit all over the place, which is hidden in small touches and amazing details, such as colour selection of the furniture, tea tree at breakfast, handmade arts of people with special needs, modern artists' creations, plenty of sustainable wood natural items, amizibg room views, quietness and silence, the sound of waves and birds etc etc. But of course, the heart of the hotel is its people, which go above and beyond expectations to make your stay unforgettable. The details like being offered to take a picture by a proactive pool attendant, organized room by housekeeping, even on the check out day, being offered a shal by waiters in a cold day, escorted to the car with an umbrella by FO team, smiles of the hostesses and many many more moments, which really make a difference and make us feel like we came home to our own family. We are very grateful for the room amenities, Birthday cake, small gift touches, all of these details show the real people orientation of the brand, which you can never mix with any other. The food deserved a separate thanks, since the breakfast has a great variety of cold cuts, cheeses, fruit, vegetables, eggs cooked to your taste, jams, honey, local bakery and Turkish specialilities. Everything is very tasty and well planned. The portions of room service are also impressive. The cocktails from the Bar Blue are simply outstanding, signature cocktails are a must-try. Bravo to the management, who seem to empower and encourage the team for the successful work and making them comfortable with what they are doing. Es un gran hotel y está sumamente bien cuidado. Las áreas comunes están impecables y tiene un personal DE PRIMERISIMA CALIDAD, son super amables y sumamente profesionales y gentiles. Su zona de playa es preciosa y cuidada. Sus precios en los bares y restaurantes son altísimos. El desayuno es de primera, muy muy muy bueno. El pero es que sus habitaciones necesitan un urgente update, ya se nota que son antiguas y para el precio que cobran necesitan modernizarse urgentemente.

The hotel is located in a secluded bay with a beautiful beach, about a 40 minute drive to most good small towns scattered around Bodrum. It is a great place if you are looking for a quite holiday, but do not expect to be close to restaurants etc. The hotel itself looks quite aged. Rooms, bathrooms, facilities all look like they need a serious upgrade. It is a very large hotel on an even larger piece of land and years have not been good to it. The buggy shuttle to and from the beach is quite long and I can't imagine what it looks like during busy summer days. The beach itself is very nice and clean. Service at the beach though is a problem because the online menu system they had in place was not working well at all. Many orders came with the wrong items or very late despite the hotel being almost empty. The staff is doing the best day can and service and food quality was quite good.

Schönes, etwas abseits gelegenes Hotel mit dem schönsten Strand und dem klarstem Wasser der gesamten Bodrum Halbinsel. Etwas in die in die Jahre gekommen aber bestens gepflegt und sehr, sehr sauber. Kein Design Hotel! Keine Abendunterhaltung/Animation. Sehr professionelles, aufmerksames, gutes Englisch sprechendes Personal bei Ankunft, Rezeption. Fantastisches Frühstücksbuffet mit allem was man sich nur vorstellen kann, es wird auch jeder Extrawunsch erfüllt. Die Qualität der Speisen ist herausragend. Das Hotel liegt an einem Hang deshalb für handicapped nicht empfehlenswert. Es gibt einen effizienten Buggy Service zum Strand oder man nimmt einen der Aufzüge , entweder zum (aufgeschütteten) Sandstrand wo es einen Bereich „silent Beach“ gibt, oder zum Sundeck. Das Wasser ist glasklar und durch die geschützte Lage sehr windstill. Abgetrennt durch eine lange Leine ist es für Schwimmer ein Paradies. Außerdem gibt es keinen motorisierten Wassersport! Und auch keine Wasserrutschen etc. Die Restaurants, abhängig von der saisonale Öffnungszeit, sind ansprechend mit 5* +++++ Preisen :((( Taxis sind äußerst Preiswert um ins nahe gelegen Bodrum zu gelangen. Oder bei längerem Aufenthalt auch ein Mietwagen von einem lokalen Anbieter zu empfehlen. Es empfiehlt sich eine Zimmer der höheren Kategorien zu nehmen da die Sicht bei Standart/Superior stark eingeschränkt ist.

Odalar temiz ve bakımlıydı. Kahvaltı ve yemekler güzeldi. Odadan sabah ve akşam deniz manzarası çok keyifliydi. Barbaros koyu Bodrum'a 10-15 dk mesafede olduğu için şehir ışıkları ve gürültüden izole olmuş bir yerdi. Otele girişimizden itibaren görevli arkadaşların bizi karşılamaları ve konaklamamız boyunca bizleri evimizde gibi hissettirmelerinden ötürü Soner bey, Tunç bey, Fatih bey, Efe bey diğer isimlerini bilmediğim karşılama ekibi ile Olive's restaurant kahvaltı ve akşam yemeği ekibine emekleri için teşekkürler.
