The Cape, a Thompson Hotel, is redefining the coastline of Los Cabos. Open in June 2015, there’s no trace of the traditional Mexican beach resort. Sleek architectural lines eschew Spanish tile, and the rooftop bar channels New York City with a tropical vibe. The hotel is still distinctly Mexico – ceramicist José Noé Suro contributed contemporary art pieces, and hand-painted tile appears throughout the property. Arrive to a room dressed in bespoke Latin American furniture and accessorized with special touches – there’s a tequila welcome gift and a set of binoculars for spying on whales, which frequent the waters surrounding the Baja Peninsula.

The cape was incredible in every way, from the rooms to the restaurants and every detail. We had dinner and drinks multiple nights at sunken bar. Maria, Paco, Pech, and Francisco were the absolute best servers. Super friendly and always made us feel right at home. We cannot wait to come back!

Just finished up another exceptional stay at The Cape Hotel in Cabo San Lucas. The food, service and location are all five star. Special shout out to Luis, Aldo and Gustavo at the pool. They really went above and beyond to take care of us and make our stay a true vacation. Thank you and we will be back! Darbys

We first came to The Cape in March of 2024, and loved it so much we came back a year later for our baby moon! The staff, food, hospitality, views and amenities are consistently exceptional and we have been so happy with both our stays here. The hotel is the perfect size and great for couples and/or friends. Being 7 months pregnant, Fabian offered us a cabana by the pool by for the duration of our stay (completely unprompted!) and we were well looked after by all the staff who were welcoming and attentive. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Food is fresh, tasty and makes you feel GOOD. Gym is clean and comes with everything you need, including 180 degree views out to the water. The spa is the best we’ve been to and the treatments are on par with any 5-star resort. All in all, we can’t recommend The Cape enough. We’ll be coming back for many years to come!

Raul and Luis at the pool were absolutely amazing!!! They made sure our pool days were flawless. From making our cabana reservations to making sure we stay with a fresh cocktail at all times! Very attentive and fun personalities. Will be coming back

We loved our stay. The hotel is beautiful. Highlights include location, natural beauty, amazing balconies, and layout, staff was hard-working, attentive, friendly, and accommodating.
The rooftop is spectacular. The sunsets and views were incredible. Food and drinks were overpriced but good. The beach was not swimmable which is a negative, but clean, private and gorgeous. Fun to watch surfers. They could use some board games, deck of cards, or even a fancy chess board to add to the super fun pool table. Well-positioned elevators, etc. Really well-designed hotel. They've thought of everything. Beautiful gardens and natural surroundings are immaculately kept. Other guests were respectful, pleasant, polite and friendly.
While the concierge is in contact by text and email, they were not entirely helpful. They were unable to help us with dinner reservations. We ended up doing it all ourselves with ease. It seemed as if they were trying to keep us at the hotel for all meals. We were there for a week and had rented a car. Our plan was to explore and eat elsewhere for a few meals. However, I did not sit down and speak with the concierge face to face, so perhaps this would have made a difference.
We were at the hotel on New Year's Eve and they had a rooftop party. Our room was on the 3rd floor but still impacted by the sound and vibration of the base and music. I spoke with the manager and they satisfactorily resolved it. The New Year's eve rooftop party would have been incredible, so my feedback would be to let guests know about the potential for noise before they book - much like what a hotel would do if there was construction. They also brought earplugs to my room immediately after my call to the front desk and they helped immensely.
One other thing that I couldn't understand - no tea or coffee in the rooms! This would have made a huge difference to me.
Our experience with Luxury Link was a 10/10.
