The Cape, a Thompson Hotel, is redefining the coastline of Los Cabos. Open in June 2015, there’s no trace of the traditional Mexican beach resort. Sleek architectural lines eschew Spanish tile, and the rooftop bar channels New York City with a tropical vibe. The hotel is still distinctly Mexico – ceramicist José Noé Suro contributed contemporary art pieces, and hand-painted tile appears throughout the property. Arrive to a room dressed in bespoke Latin American furniture and accessorized with special touches – there’s a tequila welcome gift and a set of binoculars for spying on whales, which frequent the waters surrounding the Baja Peninsula.

Neri was such an incredible server and we had the most amazing meal. The tuna was the freshest tuna we have ever had. I would come back to Manta over and over again! The food was excellent, amazing presentation, the service was impeccable and efficient, and Neri even offered to take photos of us at the beginning of dinner for the amazing view.

Where do I begin. The cape was about as good as a luxury resort gets. Incredible service, friendliest staff, magnificent property with ocean views, and tremendous food and beverage. My girlfriend and I loved it so much we extended our trip an additional day. We just couldn’t leave the cape. Of honorable mention to the staff, Lenni and Luis greated us poolside everyday and graciously took care of all our needs - from getting us the best lounge chairs at the pool to delivering cocktails and sushi poolside. Also, Iker at manta restaurant walked us through a beautiful dinner on our first night. Also, the spa is amazing. Small and tranquil, though proving an amazing couples massage experience. Highly recommend treating yourself here. Needless to say, we’ll be back!

Absolutely phenomenal restaurant and even better staff. Neri, our waiter, was so kind and generous. Couldn’t recommend more. The food was absolutely outstanding and drinks too. The setting of the restaurant was unbelievable with the views too.

Staying at the Cape has been the most amazing experience! I love to travel and experience different hotel stays and this has been truly so special being able to stay here. It may be my new favorite place in Cabo. The hotel staff are 10/10 and so helpful and gracious. We did not have 1 bad experience. Our favorite part about staying at the resort was being greeted by Luis and Lenny everyday by the pool. They provided excellent service and were so amazing with giving us the best experience. We honestly never wanted to leave the hotel because of them. They were so friendly and helpful with restaurant and local reccs. The food was 10/10 and I’m a huge foodie and love to eat all over Cabo and once again I did not want to leave the hotel. We also got a couples massage and it was by far the best massage my boyfriend and I have ever received. The spa was so special. We have loved our stay so much we decided to extend another night. Thank you! We will be back. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

Our server Manuel at the rooftop was wonderful. The resort overall was beautiful. The perfect balance between corporate and boutique. The views and the infinity pool were unbeatable. Highly recommend having dinner at Manta with the prefix menu.

We loved our stay. The hotel is beautiful. Highlights include location, natural beauty, amazing balconies, and layout, staff was hard-working, attentive, friendly, and accommodating.
The rooftop is spectacular. The sunsets and views were incredible. Food and drinks were overpriced but good. The beach was not swimmable which is a negative, but clean, private and gorgeous. Fun to watch surfers. They could use some board games, deck of cards, or even a fancy chess board to add to the super fun pool table. Well-positioned elevators, etc. Really well-designed hotel. They've thought of everything. Beautiful gardens and natural surroundings are immaculately kept. Other guests were respectful, pleasant, polite and friendly.
While the concierge is in contact by text and email, they were not entirely helpful. They were unable to help us with dinner reservations. We ended up doing it all ourselves with ease. It seemed as if they were trying to keep us at the hotel for all meals. We were there for a week and had rented a car. Our plan was to explore and eat elsewhere for a few meals. However, I did not sit down and speak with the concierge face to face, so perhaps this would have made a difference.
We were at the hotel on New Year's Eve and they had a rooftop party. Our room was on the 3rd floor but still impacted by the sound and vibration of the base and music. I spoke with the manager and they satisfactorily resolved it. The New Year's eve rooftop party would have been incredible, so my feedback would be to let guests know about the potential for noise before they book - much like what a hotel would do if there was construction. They also brought earplugs to my room immediately after my call to the front desk and they helped immensely.
One other thing that I couldn't understand - no tea or coffee in the rooms! This would have made a huge difference to me.
Our experience with Luxury Link was a 10/10.
