The Cape, a Thompson Hotel, is redefining the coastline of Los Cabos. Open in June 2015, there’s no trace of the traditional Mexican beach resort. Sleek architectural lines eschew Spanish tile, and the rooftop bar channels New York City with a tropical vibe. The hotel is still distinctly Mexico – ceramicist José Noé Suro contributed contemporary art pieces, and hand-painted tile appears throughout the property. Arrive to a room dressed in bespoke Latin American furniture and accessorized with special touches – there’s a tequila welcome gift and a set of binoculars for spying on whales, which frequent the waters surrounding the Baja Peninsula.

The property was beautiful, the environment was relaxing staff was professional and courteous! The food was very good, they had various restaurants to choose from. The breakfast was local and very tasty. The pool and beach was quiet, calm and very appealing!

Modern hotel that we were not aware of is a Wedding destination prior to arrival. The main reason we ended staying our entire visit and not changing hotels was because of the Pool Staff without them it would not have been worth the noise and confusion of the wedding crowds. Our pool concierge's as I liked to call them Luis and Eduardo were always on top of things. From making sure we got a prime spot to insuring the umbrella was always adjusted just right. We loved the energy they brought everyday we were there.. The wait staff at the pool incredible. Shout out to Fernanda we already miss you. Always with a smile, and ready to help even when she was not our primary server. The others Lenny, Hugo and I know I am missing a couple of names. But without you the stay would not have been the same. My experience in Cabo the people always make the visit for us, and these incredible kind soles did not disappoint....

Delicious dinner at manta. Neris service was top notch! I would highly recommend coming whether you are staying at the hotel or not we had a number of the vegetarian dishes and a few entrees. The view and ambiance made the dinner special. 10/10!

My wife and I stayed here for our third wedding anniversary. From the start staff was very friendly and responsive through email. Dining options are fantastic. Our server recommended a red Mexican blend wine and the menu for our dinner and surprised us with champagne at the end of our meal at Manta. The tasting menu was excellent with inspiration from Japan, Mexico, and South America. On our last day, the poolside staff offered us a cabana for our anniversary and provided excellent service throughout. People very rarely attempt to pronounce my wife’s name (it is South Asian) appropriately, yet our staff here made sure that she felt welcomed by doing so. They treated us as if we were friends and not just customers. We will be back.

We loved our stay. The hotel is beautiful. Highlights include location, natural beauty, amazing balconies, and layout, staff was hard-working, attentive, friendly, and accommodating.
The rooftop is spectacular. The sunsets and views were incredible. Food and drinks were overpriced but good. The beach was not swimmable which is a negative, but clean, private and gorgeous. Fun to watch surfers. They could use some board games, deck of cards, or even a fancy chess board to add to the super fun pool table. Well-positioned elevators, etc. Really well-designed hotel. They've thought of everything. Beautiful gardens and natural surroundings are immaculately kept. Other guests were respectful, pleasant, polite and friendly.
While the concierge is in contact by text and email, they were not entirely helpful. They were unable to help us with dinner reservations. We ended up doing it all ourselves with ease. It seemed as if they were trying to keep us at the hotel for all meals. We were there for a week and had rented a car. Our plan was to explore and eat elsewhere for a few meals. However, I did not sit down and speak with the concierge face to face, so perhaps this would have made a difference.
We were at the hotel on New Year's Eve and they had a rooftop party. Our room was on the 3rd floor but still impacted by the sound and vibration of the base and music. I spoke with the manager and they satisfactorily resolved it. The New Year's eve rooftop party would have been incredible, so my feedback would be to let guests know about the potential for noise before they book - much like what a hotel would do if there was construction. They also brought earplugs to my room immediately after my call to the front desk and they helped immensely.
One other thing that I couldn't understand - no tea or coffee in the rooms! This would have made a huge difference to me.
Our experience with Luxury Link was a 10/10.
