Built in the 1920s, the exquisite Art Deco-era Hotel Martinez reigns over Cannes, one of the most glamorous cities on the French Riviera. From palm-fringed grounds facing the sea, the hotel dominates La Croisette, the world-famous promenade. This Leading Hotels of the World and Concorde Hotels Group member was recently renovated and restored to its original grandeur. With outstanding dining, impeccable service and superb amenities, the Martinez remains one of the grandest hotels on the Riviera.

I have by now stayed at the Martinez three times in the past year and it now feels like home. From the minute you pull up at their porch, every single person on the team wows you with their efficiency and warmth, from the bell desk to the concierge, to the front office team. Le Sud has the best breakfast spread but has an even better team of people who are intuitive and warm. I love that the hotel is welcoming of all sorts of guests- triathletes, pet parents, wedding guests and regular long stay guests, not to mention corporate clients and leisure guests. The newly opened Martinez bar rocks hard - has more vibe than the outlets just outside the hotel. The art deco style of the hotel, the clean and bright colors of the rooms, the high quality of their in-room amenities and the top notch staff - they have my vote and I would rate the Martinez the best hotel on the Cannes Croisette!!!

We stayed at the Martinez for our honeymoon. I booked it through American Express which gave us some extra benefits and upgraded room. Beautiful hotel in the design, decor, etc. The staff did a great job of cleaning the room, turndown service, etc. every day. The beach service was great and we didn't have a problem getting chairs. The hotel was fabulous...the quality of the facility, the service, food, location...everything! I highly recommend it!

Feels like an overpriced holiday in express with every single anything you could ever expect costing an arm and a leg a la carte in addition to the price of the stay. Want a glass of wine, 25$ even though the same bottle is 6$ around the corner. Want room service, cool, 10$ extra on top of a dish that is already upcharged by 200-300%. I'm not sure what makes this a five star resort other than it being an enclave of rich folk. We sat down for drinks at the hotel bar and weren't served for ten minutes, and then weren't checked on for 45. Had to request a check 3 times and wish I had just bailed based on the pricing. Drinks didn't even have alcohol. Excited to sit on a day bed on the pier on the sea, sorry it's under construction and they won't mention a word to you. Want to get a drink at the beach bar, sorry it's a private event and closed for the night even though it was advertised everywhere while booking. Want anything other than an extremely basic stay at a holiday inn with fancy finishes, bring an extra 1,000$. Don't plan to ever return. If you're not wearing balenciaga or Versace on full display they will treat you like lower class peasants. One of the most uncomfortable experiences of my life in terms of human interaction and the only positive time I had was when I bought a bottle of wine at the grocery store and drank it in our room.

I stayed at the Martinez for many years as a boy and it was my second home. As I grew older we moved to the Carlton for many years but sadly the Carlton became too Corporate. Hyatt have done an amazing job at the Martinez. Everything is designed to the very highest quality and standard. The excellence of the huge team of staff is exemplary. Paul in reservations ensured we were well looked after. We will for sure choose Martinez first every time in Cannes.

It's always so nice to return to the Martinez. Warmly welcomed like long lost friends by the concierges including Frederic and then at the front desk by Saida set the scene for another enjoyable stay, Sadly the weather was not great but the lovely room and the friendliness and efficiency of the staff more than made up for this. We particularly enjoyed the La Plage restaurant and don't dismiss Room Service with its extensive menu, especially breakfast. Looking forward to coming back later this year.
