Emeline

This is our 3rd stay at the Emeline. We love everything about it. The suites are spacious and well appointed. All public areas are always neat, clean, tidy and inviting. The concierge was super helpful. She helped get us set up on a plantation tour and a carriage tour. The Emeline’s location is unbeatable. It’s walking distance to just about every restaurant and point of attraction in downtown Charleston. I wanted to spotlight a kind employee named Ashley. She helped get us all checked in but as we were stepping away from the reception desk, she noticed my 81 year old mother struggling to get to her feet after a long, tiring day of travel. Ashley came from behind the desk and helped my mom to her feet. It was such a touching act of kindness when they seem to be fewer and further between these days. Thanks Ashley- we won’t forget your kindness!

Our family of 6 visited Frannie and the Fox at the Emeline last night to celebrate our daughter’s graduation from the College of Charleston. Starting with Halee, our helpful reservationist, weeks ago, to the friendly welcoming hosts, to the spectacular team looking out for our table, everything was top notch. This was not our first visit, so we knew to expect a special evening, but last night was made extra memorable due to our professional and attentive server, Misael. What a pleasure to receive such lovely service. We have enjoyed meals all over the world, and truly appreciate the type of “white glove” attention that we received last night from him. The beautifully presented dishes were obviously a highlight as well; after all, what is a pretty restaurant and wonderful staff without fabulous food from the chefs? It’s so much fun to return frequently and try their new seasonal menu items. Everyone battled me for more spoonfuls of my pistachio panne cotta with its bits of candied orange. Of course the decor, fun Charleston atmosphere, and bar were beautiful and lively. The cocktails are always creatively bespoke and fresh. We couldn’t have asked for a more delightful evening!

I had a fantastic experience staying at the Emeline! The Emeline had great rooms and amenities and the location was very convenient. I also really appreciate their sustainability efforts and initiatives! The staff and service at the Emeline were also incredible. Covy, who checked me in was incredibly welcoming and offered me a nice welcome cocktail, and Kim and Tania were extremely helpful and accommodating whenever I had questions about the area, and they also recommended a ton of amazing places to see and visit!

Emeline was a delight! Great location and friendly helpful staff. Rooms comfortable and well appointed! Particular shout out to Oliver & Jack that helped with all our luggage and an extra thank you to Kim at reception for all of her help in answering our area questions!

Jimmy was amazing! Service was to notch and he was such a fun server. Highly recommend. The ambiance was great. Food was fantastic. Really amazing experience. I would go back in a heartbeat. Jimmy convinced us to come back for brunch tomorrow so we’ll be going back.
