Ace Hotel Chicago, located in the historic Fulton Market district, has a quirky, modern, industrial feel. The rooms and hallways have exposed concrete and unfinished wood. This styling gives the appearance of a revamped old space despite Ace Hotel Chicago being a newly constructed building. The City Mouse is the hotel signature restaurant named for the high-risk/high-reward Aesopian rodent, averts the country mouse's objections, through crafty food, modest prices and a leisurely atmosphere. The rooftop bar, Waydown is famous for its craft beer, cocktails and small plates.

If you are looking for a like prison cell room feel with Ikea furniture, this is your place! Beds are just as horribly uncomfortable as their website photos promote. The one little outdoor furniture metal chair in the room adds to the discomfort. Then the air conditioner regulator that keeps your room temp at 73 degrees at night will maintain the balmy humidity that an 80 degree day in Chicago provides. Then the kicker is the gray painted plywood ceilings made to look like concrete!! Really! As if it isn’t ugly enough, the dark bathroom and little low lights will add to your prison cell-like feel. Dirty cheap carpet and black flooring. Flat pillows. But wait, there’s more! The hallways are equally disturbing! Tasteless attempt at being modern & cool. There isn’t one piece of comfortable furniture in the whole place! Lobby is atrocious with their nightclub music. Young hip Google employees may enjoy this but the rest of you… buyer beware.

I like that there is a variety of places to get a bite to eat, and there's a vibrant nightlife in the area. Global menu McDonald's is nearby and a Google building across the street. I like the fire pits and the bar in the first floor. There is an open air cinema in the 6th floor and selva in the 7th. Rooms are decent and come with a minibar. I had the 2 bed bedroom.

I recently spent a weekend at this hotel in Chicago for a quick getaway. The customer service was exceptional. As a precautionary measure, I always pre-book and pay for my hotel rooms in advance to avoid any unexpected expenses. However, upon checking in, I was informed that there is a $150 incidental deposit required for each night of my stay. Unfortunately, this policy was not clearly communicated through the hotel's website or any written materials. The room itself was minimalist in design. I stayed in the king executive room, but was underwhelmed by the experience. The room's furnishings were sparse, consisting of a single chair and a sofa that appeared to be from the 1970s, situated in an awkward corner. Given my experience, I am unlikely to stay at this hotel again in the future. I believe the hotel's website presents a misleading representation of their accommodations.

Very clean and comfortable room - priced well. Location is close to green line and not far from downtown. Staff are excellent, restaurant food was very good. Rooftop bar was comfortable, but DJ music was a little loud. The immediate area has an abundant number of restaurants, cafes and bars to cater to all lifestyles.

The bed and pillows were so firm and soft. The room was absolutely amazing! I'd go back again! The room service was great, the employees were super nice. The bathroom was wonderful. The view was absolutely stunning! If I ever go back to Chicago, I'd definitely stay in The Emily again!
