Fairmont Dallas

They place is very nice with great room, great service, pool, workout facilities, Starbucks, UPS store, shopping, bar and restaurant. My only problem was that ice machine on my floor and the one below did not work. I had to go from the 24th floor to the 22nd floor for ice. I also had trouble getting the desk and floor lamp on there was no way to turn it on. Plus I had no refrigerator which could have been a problem because I sometimes have medication that needs to be refrigerated. The views were great, the bed and chairs were very clean and comfortable. All of the amenities were great.

It’s interesting how poorly kept up this property is. It’s not a roach motel but it’s definitely not the Fairmont Brand by any means. We have another night here and it’s “fine” and we don’t have any plans to move to another hotel because it’s not worth the headache. But it’s also definitely not a place I’d want to return. Several issues just related to how poorly this place is maintained: - Light bulbs/sockets not working in multiple lights - The phone was completely inoperable when we arrived. We asked to have it fixed while we were out and so they just removed it from the room completely, lol. - the elevator is old and worn, paint scratched and chipped, just feels old. - in the room, the minibar was empty (maybe because of how I booked the room, even though I did put a card down for incidentals?) - the mini fridge is missing its top panel so their are exposed wires and electrical components - the bathroom is just old, paint chipped, mirror misaligned and exposed. - the bathroom door frame with chipped and busted wood. - the shower curtain was hanging off the hooks and not a single hook was properly fastened. The picture online absolutely do not match the room we are staying in. Again, it’s “fine.” Just old and looks like no care was taken to take care of this room. Definitely wont return.

Another grest stay at the Fairmont The property was immaculate. I was there for a great conference. The food was so much better than "conference food" typically is. The hotel staff was very professional, and helpful. I accidently left an item and the concierge track it down. Overall another great Fairmont experience.

Very over priced for quality. Room service came in my room or knocked 3 different times even with a do not disturb sign and before the check out time. Valet was insanely overpriced and poorly run. The pool has maybe 4 chairs total in sunlit areas and the fitness machinery is outdated. I’m fine with any and all these but adjust your price to what you actually provide, which is generic service. I had to double check my charges as well because they tried to up charge almost $60 more.

Great hotel and beautiful rooms, and a very special shout out to Philip, the Concierge Manager…Philip seemed omnipresent during my stay, there wherever I turned to ask about my stay, comfort and needs. He was so personable, knowledgeable and seemed to anticipate my needs. He discussed and described a number of restaurant recommendations and untimely suggested one based on my reactions to his descriptions. It wound up being an excellent choice, a wonderful meal and just as Philip billed. Again, Philip makes the experience at the Fairmont that much better and even entertaining with his demeanor and approach. I plan on choosing The Fairmont for all of my future trips to Dallas and will be a regular at the hotel going forward.
