In a testament to the beauty and magnificence of modernity, where the city of Dublin meets the sea, the gibson hotel exudes chic, urban style with a serene, Zen-like atmosphere. Brilliant glass, shimmering steel, and polished marble give way to hidden bamboo gardens, inviting you to experience Ireland at its finest. Each room is quiet and supremely comfortable, with floor-to-ceiling glass walls offering views of the city and mountains in the distance, while plush accommodations ensure a relaxing stay. Bright and warm, each room is crafted from soothing coffee and cream colors, with all the modern amenities, and a flowing, graceful ambiance. Step out from your own private haven at The Gibson Hotel, a Summit Hotels & Resorts property, part of the Preferred Hotel Group, and into the vibrant city of Dublin, for a truly unforgettable time.

Booked this hotel as part of the VIP package of the Andrea Bocelli concert. Its a fab hotel very modern. The room has everything you could want and was very spacious. its right across from the 3Arena so it couldn't be more convenient but its not cheap! The Luas brought us straight from Heuston to right outside the hotel. Breakfast was great, really good choice. Staff were all lovely although one of them had never heard of First Dates Ireland!! We only ate dinner as part of the VIP experience and that was the only downfall, the food was not nice at all -starters were bad and poor selection, for the main a choice of medium beef or monkfish. some of the people at the table got their beef rare, some well done and some medium. The monkfish was very "meaty" and i just couldn't eat it. When you are catering for a larger number (there were about 50 of us) i think you need to keep with the 'safer' options that everyone is going to like. The dessert just about saved it and was lovely. Didn't eat in the bar the next day as we were out and about but people said the bar menu was very good but service very slow but this was down to not enough staff and when we had a drink in the bar this was very evident so not the fault of the staff. All in all a lovely hotel and would definately book again.

I was very excited about going to the Gibson 'First Dates Restaurant' that looks fab on tele. The experience however was underwhelming. The man at check in was seriously unfriendly & clearly did not want to be there. Later we met another guy with glasses & he was very helpful. We paid for a room upgrade but it did not seem like one- very basic & minimal with two single beds & very echoey due to the lack of soft furnishings. Again the pillows & beds were not that comfy either. In general the place may have been 4* when it opened but it is now not at that level but still has that high price. Breakfast was ok, nothing to write home about. The hotel just felt a bit soulless including the bar & was lacking in warmth. For convenience I would recommend but apart from that would stay somewhere else next time.

Arrived Sat April 26th for 1 night, check in was fine, room average disappointed for the exorbitant cost for 1 night. For a 4 star I would have at least expected a fridge in the room, uncomfortable bed and hard pillows .Had a meal booked in the restaurant but got an email week before to say it would be closed due to lack of demand so we ate in the bar. Awful bland food and set menu...we were sorry that we didn't book a restaurant elsewhere in the city.No atmosphere in the bar. Unable to sleep due to a fight/shouting banging doors between residents in a room beside us.. Next morning after breakfast went to collect our luggage back in the room and the key cards were already blocked so after 3 attempts to get into our room we eventually checked out completely underwhelmed by our stay esp when we were there as part of my 50th birthday celebration!

You might be hungry after your dinner so bring snacks. My curry was served on a cold plate. Very small portion of rice. No naan bread etc. My husband said after his 32e steak that he'd eat that again as he still hungry. Bathrooms dirty especially the disabled. Pillows at night were too hard, I had to use a cushion from the chair in the room to sleep on. Doors of bedrooms slam very loud when people leaving in the morning. Breakfast was superb

We stayed at the Gibson on two separate nights at the beginning and the end of our visit. We were assisted by your front desk clerk Gerry. He was friendly, sweet, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. His smile is contagious! When we returned a week later he greeted us by name as we walked into the hotel and treated us as though we were old friends. The hotel itself is lovely, clean, and well situated in Dublin. The experience overall was top notch due to that and Gerry. Thank you!
